Updated Currency to GBP

Good evening all!

So Patreon has finally spared me the pain and anguish each month of wondering how the exchange rate is going to affect my earnings and has allowed me to convert my account to my native GBP.  Pay Pal's exchange rates are horrendous and I've been finding that I'm losing out massively, often getting in the region of £1 to $1.8 which is a far cry from the £1-$1.25 that is billed on the currency exchange.  to put that in context, If I draw down $1000, I'll be getting about £550 at the other end which is criminal!  The decision to swap for me was therefore a bit of a no-brainer so I hope you understand my reasoning.

Now this means I've had to go and reset all of the tiers to £ sterling prices which means those of you in other countries will be viewing in your own currency with some kind of Patreon algorithm filter in place to show you what you pay.

I have tried to match the tiers as closely as possible to the existing values, although there will likely be a small amount of fluctuation due to conversion factors and not wanting to price a tier at £7.13 or something stupid just for the sake of MAYBE getting a round number in other currencies.

I hope this is OK by all of you and wont present any problems.  If it does please contact me directly and I'll see if anything can be done.

Its also worth mentioning that MyMiniFactory.com are also soon to be piloting a subscription based service which sounds amazing!  I'm down to be on the pilot run so I'll post more about it once its up and running (a few months away yet).

NEXT STEPS

Now the other thing to note is that over recent months, my own inability to deliver under the pressures of lockdown, coupled with increased competition in the miniatures market each month have meant that my subscription numbers are massively down (about 2/3 of the peak before lockdown at the start of the year).  Now this improved payout each month should hopefully mean that I can take less commission work to top up my salary and focus on delivering a better service for Patrons.

I need to get my subscriptions up to over the 400 mark so I would love to see you all posting pictures of your prints online, sharing your paint jobs and so on - anything that will raise awareness of my page and my creations and help to draw more people in.

At 400 patrons I will organise a competition to win a 3D printer to celebrate the milestone achievement.  Which specific printer will depend upon availability, sponsors and locality of the winner.  Competition criteria will be released closer to the time.

I'd love to be giving you all a mounted version of the level up heroes each month, but at the moment the work needed would mean dropping the commissions.  I've also got companions (pets, familiars, sidekicks etc), base packs and scenery bundles that I want to be working on for you all, so please help me to get there and you can all reap the rewards.

Anyway, thats the plans for the near future - lets see if I can make them a reality (with your help of course!)

Absolutely! You have some limits on region though? Cheers dude!

More than happy to help with the Printer prize Dan! Of course we only supply EPAX printers because why mess with inferior stuff. Could do some runner up resins too. Will require some shameless plugging of the business though :p

You do some of my favorite work. You were the reason I bought a printer. But with the many delays and unfulfilled minis has been a disappointment. I hope this new change helps.
