May Miniatures - The Dark Knight's Redemption

Happy 1st May everyone!  I know its a weird time for us all at the moment but this months theme has filled me with a mass of nostalgia and in this historical oddity that we're living in at the moment its been a welcome relief.

My first experience of the Final Fantasy series was a US import of Final Fantasy 2 (FF4 everywhere else) on the SNES in the early 90s.  I immediately loved it and I remember as a kid spending a summer sat on my bunk bed playing through the game and being engrossed.  I particularly remember getting stuck on a demon wall boss for ages and the feeling of elation when I finally defeated it!

Anyway, this months theme is an adventure party inspired by the main characters of Final Fantasy 4 (or FF2 if you're in the US.  They arent sculpted from the official artwork or even entirely accurate to the in game characters, but they are my tak on the characters in a style that will fit in with the world I'm creating.

In the initial set you have 5 characters - Cecil the Paladin, Rosa the White Mage, Palom and Porom the Twin child mages and Yang the King Fu master of Fabul.  Hopefully Ive done them all justice and the characters are obvious enough.

A few little details :-)

I'm working on a few more so this month is going to be a big one by the time its all done:

Cecil the Dark Knight

Edge the Ninja Prince

Rydia the Summoner (who may be accompanied by a Mist Dragon if time permits!)

Kain the Dragoon Lancer Knight

The following will also be added if time permits

Edward the Bard

Cid the Engineer

Tellah the Great Sage

One other thing I'm looking at for this month to help all of you that aren't able to meet up for face to face games is a set of Roll20 compatible character tokens.  The Cecil one is pictured below.  Hopefully these can help you keep ticking over until you can finally meet up with your friends in person!  These will be available to the $5 tier.

There's a whole load of new themed components this month too (some of them pictured above) which will be added to the library shortly.  All of the new weapons and accessories that I've made will be in there as well a some of the heads.

Please let me know what you think of this months models and if they live up to their namesakes for you, and which of the new accessories are your favourite!  I'd also like to know if you're likely to be using the Roll20 Avatars as that may be something I can put a bit of focus on at some point to create a full token set for you all using past models.

Anway, I'll leave you to it there!  Stay safe and happy printing!

Dan

Lion Tower Miniatures -Adventurers Guild

FFIV is one of my best gaming memories from my childhood. Accidentally saved over my best friend's dad's file late at night trying to sneak it. I wasn't allowed over for some time after that. :D

This was the second video game we had on our SNES! LOVED it! I am totally looking forward to Kain!
