Paypal's ID authentication?
Added 2017-04-07 17:26:48 +0000 UTCCan't withdraw my payout yet, nor take new commission deposits. Just received an email from Paypal about further identifying myself (which may have something to do with my debit card expiry / renewal).
I was fine with giving them my phone number until I got to the identifying documents part. I don't fling my documents around lightly so I'm cautious about this.
It asks for a scan of, as recent of 6 months ago:
- driver's license
- National ID card
- Passport
Anyone else supporting with Paypal had to deal with this? Is my info safe with them?
Or will it go away as soon as I input an updated debit card? (the nation's system is switching from signature to PIN and paywave, may have something to do with that too. Technical overhauls tend to mess junk up)

For safety sake I would still directly contact them through whatever help desk they have. Just to confirm this is legitimate.
