Discussion: May Madness 2019! (Plus update post)

April 11th update: I didn't really give a closing date for voting, so I'll go ahead and set it at April 19th, which should give everyone plenty of time to cast their vote and for me to prepare for the month.

April 19th: Responses seem to be pretty much finished so I'm gonna go ahead and end this discussion post today. I'm about to make a public version of the May Madness discussion on Youtube, where you're allowed to vote again if you'd like! Reminder that I'm not -only- going with songs that get the most votes. :D

Hey Patrons!

March saw the completion of the long awaited Side-Quests Volume 2 album, along with the completion of half of the SQ2 videos. I also managed to get the first of 2 April Fools Day specials up: the Stage Theme from 1942.

I'm sure many of you are wondering what the other special is, which should be coming at an unspecified time later in the month, and I will reveal it in time. But for now, I will say I may have left a hint in the 1942 video. ;)

I'm aiming to have the rest of the SQ2 album videos finished and up by the end of next week, then it's back to cleaning up the to-do list and preparing for May (more on that in a second).

With another 5 SQ2 videos coming, the first April Fools song, and more new songs coming later in the month, this will be an even bigger month in song/video count than March, so I encourage you to check and adjust your monthly pledge limits if needed. I more than appreciate everything that you all contribute, but I don't want to break your bank either! Only pledge for an amount of songs per month that you want to and are comfortable with.

It may look like it's piling back up again, but now that SQ2 is finished and only a few videos remain, I can turn my full attention to getting the list caught up within the next couple of months. Meaning we can soon get back to those extra drawing milestone rewards. :D

The next Patreon Request List drawing stream will take place on our usual date, April 5th, starting around 2:00 PM US Central Time. I'll have the request list updated within the next couple of days and the current entry list up after that. I also have to choose a handpick song which I'll decide on the same day and reveal in the stream recap.

I will be getting Side-Quests Volume 2 album physicals ordered at the beginning of May. As advertised, anyone who pledges or has pledged in the month of either March or April will receive their name in the credits of the album, similar to how we did Dreamland Invasion. And also like before, all Tier 5+ ($10 and higher) Patrons that pledge/pledged in March or April will receive a free copy! I will contact those of you for shipping details once the physicals have arrived.

Now for part 2 of this post: May Madness is approaching!

If you're new to GaMetal May Madness: every May I take a bunch of old GaMetal songs and remake them, along with a few new songs (normally from the to-do list). Usually I end up with 6-7 songs total, with 3-4 of those being remakes.

Last year the highest requested remakes from Patrons were Count Cannoli and Meridian Dance. There was a large tie for the 3rd highest, so I chose Rainbow Road Wii from that bunch. The most requested from Youtube was In the Final.

So once again I'd like to know what old GaMetal songs you'd like to hear remade this year. This would be songs from 2009 to 2014, that I haven't already remade for a previous May Madness. If you need a song list for reference, head over to JonnyAtma.com and check out the Old '09-'12 and '13-'14 pages. Single songs that have appeared in medleys (IE Ridley's Theme, Splash Woman), from any year, are also up for consideration.

Also, as a friendly reminder, I won't only be going with the songs with the most votes, so songs that don't place in the top aren't necessarily counted out!
