Added 2015-08-18 04:31:20 +0000 UTCThe flower pattern on Trixie's dress is a bit complex... it's not too hard to draw or color, but it consumes a lot of time for CGI when he does the flats. That's a tricky thing about this comic... whenever designing characters I have to keep in mind that their outfits, hairstyles, etc., need to be something that I can consistently draw on a daily basis. It's actually similar to how characters are designed for animation... costume pieces are often simplified to make them easier to animate while still being recognizable. I don't have to go quite so far as that, but there is still some kind of limit to how much I can do designwise for the comic.
