Post Your Questions HERE For Tomorrow's Live Q+A

Excited to finally do one of these again! Here's how things work:

-Submit a somewhat-musically-related question below (within the next 24 hours) and I'll prepare an answer for a livestream tomorrow night at 8PM CT. I'll answer questions in the order that they're recieved, so you'll generally know when to tune in.

-If your question involves a copyrighted song, please include the youtube/spotify link here so we can all listen. However, I'll be unable to play the audio during the stream!

-If your question involves your own music, please post a link to audio and/or sheet music. If you can't do that, then email it to me directly to signalsmusicjake@gmail.com. But make sure you also post your question here as well.

-If Patreon removes any of your links (it does that some times), just redo your post and email me the link directly.

Ask away!

Hey Jake! Super excited you’ve finished your book, congrats! Cant wait to dig into it. Two simple questions: 1. Did the “cheesiest chord in the world” , the “sitcom chord” make it into the book? (Aka the F/G in C or the G11 in C without a 3rd, etc.) 2. Any more thoughts on what you are going to do for a DAW and VSTs moving forward?

First of all, congrats on the book, can't wait to check it out! Do you have any tips on approaching learning the kind of rhythmically complex (solo) lines that you sometimes find in rock or metal, especially with more of a blues background, where the original artist probably didn't intend to play 'a decatuplet with two dotted notes' or something and just played a bit loose, but in a transcription that's what's written. One thing that really stumps me is that faster runs like that tend to lose all coherence when slowed down too much, so even getting to the point where I understand them well enough to start practicing them takes enormous amounts of time.
