Introducing Patreon Tiers and Goals

Hi, happy 2021! Hope you are having a great holidays time!

Hope you are all also enjoying Super R-Type with SA-1 Root. For who missed, I recently released version 1.1 and also I have finished hardware verification which confirmed that Super R-Type works fine with a real SA-1 cart and SNES console. I'm pretty happy to see more patrons joining this space and given some feedback I had and my wish for ROM hacking not just being part of my hobby but also a potential source of income to assist my real life needs (college, living costs and specially equipment, which has one of the greatest taxes on my country, Brazil), I'm introducing Patreon Tiers where you can actually pledge and get a number of benefits.

I have set up initially the following tiers:

• Super Supporter ($2/mo): it's the same thing as it's today, you have access to all patreon posts of the creator page.
• Mega Supporter ($5/mo): this will also lets you join my recently created Discord server, "Vitor's Laboratory" where I will be posting more progress updates and you will be able to talk with me more directly whenever needed.
• Hyper Supporter ($15/mo): in addition to the previous 2 tiers, you will also be able to get access of a package of all my speedup ROM hacks together into a compressed file. Useful if you always want up-to-date ROM hacks without having to search, download and patch each one.
• Platinum Supporter ($30/mo): plus everything else, I'll put your name in the credits, for being pretty much a sponsor.

I also have "Ultimate Supporter" tier set up ($50/mo) but it's not visible yet. But if someone is interested on it let me know!

All the tiers includes benefits that were not included before, so you are not missing anything if you keep with the current pledge. However, if you really like my work and would like to make my projects end-up like a part-time or full-time job, consider joining one of the tiers. It will mean a lot for me, specially with the current covid-19 situation and the increasing taxes on my country.

I'm pretty much unable to buy any new equipment for the past year because the internal taxes increased so much: the brazilian monetary value reduced a lot...around 25% compared to the past year due of the current economic issues and the pandemic context, making things imported more extensive and production will actually prefer exporting over selling at a fair price here...

Patreon ends up being a great way to me overcome my current difficulties and at the same time it ends up a big motivation factor for doing more work.

It also means that if the Patreon plan end up becoming a great success, it'll mean that I can dedicate my time pretty much as a full-time job there, definitely making it possible to make SA-1 and FastROM improvement patches for much more games, given that I normally need around 70-100 hours of work to make a high quality patch.
