DuckTrax Spring 2017 Response Call!
Added 2017-04-16 23:01:18 +0000 UTCHi there Patrons and friends, it's time for you to send us questions and prompts for the Spring episode of DuckTrax! The deadline for responses is by the end of the day on Saturday, April 22.
To jog your memory, here's the kind of stuff we're looking for:
- Questions about how we make the shows.
- Questions about WOFF! sketches, or requests for us to play and talk about a particular WOFF! sketch.
- Questions about games, or games for shows, or decisions about shows.
- Goofy slice of life questions.
- Anything you can think of! (If things get too gross or personal, we will probably be evasive. Sorry!)
Please leave your questions/prompts as comments on this post in order to have us read them for the show.
Thank you so much for your support!

2017-04-22 20:57:55 +0000 UTCWhat's up, Episode Boys?! I meant to ask you guys about this in Milwaukee, but do you have thoughts on True Stories, the film written, directed by, and starring David Byrne? I am a huge Talking Heads fan and only found out about it recently. It makes me sad that I was ignorant of it for so long and don't want anyone else to miss out.

2017-04-22 03:22:18 +0000 UTCWhy are so few WOFF sketches about Dracula?

2017-04-21 21:37:34 +0000 UTCWhat is the scariest WOFF sketch? What is the sexiest? Which do you regret the most? Regret the least?

2017-04-21 21:37:16 +0000 UTCThe best moment in a WOFF sketch was Gary's reading of the line "Ah, I am immolated" in the Thief: Deadly Shadows episode. Please talk about that line. I guess you could talk about the rest of the sketch too.

2017-04-21 21:27:08 +0000 UTCYou've inspired a lot of us in the community to get into podcasting and streaming. How do you feel about that? Does knowing that so many people see you as a model of success to emulate help with impostor syndrome at all?

2017-04-21 16:17:57 +0000 UTCHave any of the WOFF sketches ever gotten dark/gross enough in the writing process that you have to start over? If not, which ones have come the closest? Unrelated follow up question, will you ever do a sketch for a live WOFF, and if so, would it be a full stage performance, or would you guys literally just sit down in front of a crowd and start doing an audio sketch with no explanation.

2017-04-20 13:58:09 +0000 UTCWhenever I think about how many games you guys have to play for the network, it boggles my mind, as I'm usually a one game at a time kinda person. I'm curious about what kind of scheduling or planning you guys do to fit all of it in. Is it something like "Play for BSC from 5-7 PM, WOFF play from 7-9, Abject Suffering from 9-10, etc..." or is it much more loose and you just fit whatever in whenever?

2017-04-20 13:55:47 +0000 UTCI'd like to know more about how the music pieces that you guys use for the start and end of shows for the network came about and how they were made and what their creation process was like.

2017-04-19 01:51:19 +0000 UTCSlice of life super bonus question: Best vampire movie - the swedish "Let The Right One In" or iranian "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night"?

2017-04-18 16:26:21 +0000 UTCWhat's the worst idea you have had for the network, which ended up being scrapped? Bonus question: What's the worst idea that actually got put out into the world? :)
Fredrik R
2017-04-18 16:12:38 +0000 UTCWould you ever consider doing a Bonfireside Chat-episode(s), where you go back and re-examine for ex. Demon's Souls or DS1? As in a condensed 1-3 episode last hurrah-send off.

2017-04-18 16:11:52 +0000 UTCIf you were forced to get 2 new tattoos each, related to pieces of media you love, what would they be?

2017-04-17 19:31:19 +0000 UTCNow that the network is branching out (books, music, cartoons), what do you find interesting/challenging about trying to engage with new communities away from games (aside from listeners coming over from shows like WOFF and BSC)?
Joost Vervoort
2017-04-17 19:13:55 +0000 UTCWhat's the most uncomfortable a piece of media has ever made you? And I mean like, "good uncomfortable", not like "oh my god I'm on a watchlist for seeing this" uncomfortable.

2017-04-17 12:52:50 +0000 UTCHey guys! Recently you released your R.E.M. podcast, which was very appreciated. If you were to make another podcast on a select topic, what would you talk about, and why?

2017-04-17 02:57:37 +0000 UTCMy favorite moment in a woff sketch is Gary's reading of "ah, I am immolated" at the end of the Thief episode. Please talk about that line. I guess you could talk about the rest of the sketch too. If you want.
