Advice: Your Premium Feed URL and You

When you sign up as a member on our Patreon, you get a welcome email with your private feed URL. The text of this link is your actual private feed URL. However, what that URL in the email links to is actually a gnarly fake URL with so many redirects that it won't work in your podcast feed. I don't know why Patreon does this (probably marketing or metrics tracking!) but it sucks because it's caused people frustration.
If you get that email, you need to be careful how you copy that URL. Do notcopy it from your phone's email app by tap-holding it and using the Copy command in the context menu. That will pull back the bad URL. You can tell it's the bad URL if when you paste it, it begins with "http://email.mailgun.patreon.com".
If you're copying the URL from your email, you will need to manually highlight the text of the link and copy that (instead of the URL the link points to).
The surefire way to get the right email that will work is to pull it off of the sidebar at patreon.com/duckfeedtv. For more information on how to do this, check out this helpful tutorial post and video I made.
I'll apologize on Patreon's behalf. Them sending out a bogus URL for no good reason is creating lots of headaches for everyone, and I want you to be able to get your shows ASAP!

This is helpful advice! Maddeningly, it seems that neither Google Play Music nor Google Podcasts supports the feed import feature, so I ended up picking up a new podcast app - Pocket Casts - to make it work. Having just become a patron yesterday after months of enjoying the Duckfeed content for free, I'm overjoyed to find so much more stuff here.
