While X-Files was in its late season dolrums, Vince Gilligan wrote a banger of an episode called "Roadrunners", where Scully is trapped in a small desert town by a cult that worships an alien being. This thing is a masterpiece, as it captures the creeping dread, paranoia, and disgust of Lovecraft's works. We seriously recommend watching it.

Haven't seen this after I really found Lovecraftian-themes. I've watched the whole original series of X-files about 5 times. Waiting to get the bluray box set to see it all glory HD.

2019-11-20 19:30:05 +0000 UTCIt doesn't have the Lovecraftian theme, but I always had a soft spot for X-Cops from season 7. Just the absurdity of the show taking place on an episode of COPS always stuck with me.
