Duckfeed Presents: Kole Finally Watched Hereditary

It became a bit, then it became something I felt kind of bad about. So I sat down and watched Hereditary, and it's really good. So good that I needed to grab Gary and talk about it for a half an hour. So, listen in to hear that.

I know I'm wicked late to the party. I saw Hereditary in theaters with my good friend who is not only the biggest movie buff I know, but the biggest horror fan I know. She named a cat after a character from Audition. And I like horror movies a lot! So we take time to go together when a big one comes out. Hereditary is the movie that broke me. I feel sympathetic emotions really strongly (secondhand embarrassment is fatal to me, I simply cannot watch shows like the Office or Fleabag. It kills me.) and the mother's grief absolutely wrecked me, even with my friend next to me. I ended up excusing myself to the theater bathroom and reading spoilers because if I didn't have an idea of where the movie was going I wasn't going to finish it. To this day it's the most harrowing movie experience I've ever had, and it fucked me up for several days. Now, after over a year, I'm thinking I should watch it again. It's obviously brilliant. Just so, so tense.
