Kole and Gary finally tackle the FPS that set the standard, not only for the genre, but for cinematic and narrative  games to this day.

Halo is a weird thing for me where I can't really see anything that people like about it, from story to play to aesthetics. But I trust you that there's something there! It's just not for me. -GB

Long time listener, but recent supporter and first time commenting. I joined to play Elden ring vicariously through yall and have been loving all the additional content like unfilmable and these episodes. I look forward to a bunch of future content (hope you cover the void soon in unfilmable) but I had to speak up this episode. When Gary said Halo sucked while comparing the vehicle play I had a visceral reaction. The Warthog has to be one of the most satisfying vehicles to use in video games ever in my opinion, however I almost exclusively a console gamer and could see that if it is PC controls it may be lacking in comparison. Love the content, and nothing but gratitude for your work!

Fair!

Fuck me, I know, but the preview episode is labeled "Episode 250: Half-Life 2"

Love u but the titling of this episode made it incredibly hard to find. 250? No results. Half-life? No results.

No episode has made me feel as nostalgic as this episode.

This episode featured the most perfect capsule of the network I've heard. It was like goddamn 'Waiting For Godot. Gary: '...You just run around squeezing Pocket's bladder!' Kole: 'Don't squeeze Pocket's bladder.' Gary: (belligerent ) 'Eh, I'll squeeze what I like.' Kole: (tired, resigned) 'Okay, fine. You do what you like.' Wonderful.

This episode coming made me finally play HL2, and it lived up to the hype! Thanks for covering it, it’d still be in my backlog otherwise.

I've been catching up on old WOFF episodes and also went through some minor surgery recently, luckily they let me wear my headphones as a distraction and I got to listen to the dulcet tones of Kole and Ross as two very polite ladies cut and stitched my flesh. I can't say that I was able to focus fully on the episode but it certainly helped.

Love HL2 to death. It has such a wonderful power creep for the player in the story, by the time you get to the Citadel it's letting you live out something of a power fantasy without ever feeling too egregious.

Congrats on 250!
