Season Two

Hello friends and fans! 

It's been a long break, and behind the scenes Tom, Jon, and I have been up to a lot! There's a ton to cover, most of it regarding YOU, our patrons! 

Episodes

We're launching on March 3, and shortly after launch we'll start regularly releasing bonus episodes. Last year we got bogged down between making the main show and the bonus episodes, but we've taken some steps to keep it more manageable- namely we've worked on a bit of a backlog so we're not making episodes last minute. Right now we have an okay backlog of main episodes, and we're beginning to work on making a backlog of bonus episodes! 

Rewards

We're excited to offer a bunch of cool merch for SCP Archives through Patreon! We'll be updating the designs of the stickers, mug, and poster for season two soon, and adding a new option: A T-shirt! It'll be launched as soon as the design is ready, and will be $30 per month. Like other Patreon rewards, it's fulfilled after 3 months of donations.

Postcards

Alright, this is a big one. We hit set backs with postcards last season in printing, and postage. We've resolved a lot of these problems by working with Moo to make future batches, and Stamps.com (not an ad, just two great services). I mentioned in an episode cutting them in favor of other merch, but upon consideration, I have a better solution!

Unfortunately, it's not feasible for me to write 200+ postcards every month (it kills my wrist!) but it's something we'll fulfill every three months. Unlike other tiers, this won't be dependent on donating for consecutive months, but instead will sent out on set months to everyone who's a patron for $5 or more.

Dates are as follows:

August 31

November 30

Designs will be unveiled at the beginning of each of these months (if not sooner) and will be sent out at the end of the month (so you should receive them within the week after).

Store

We make a lot of content for this show, and we want to make stuff past what Patreon allows us to! I'm working on stocking a store with things like a Season One Soundtrack, a custom cassette-style USB drive, a sticker set, and a postcard pack. This is something that's much further off, but I'm tentatively aiming for Summer 2020.

Goal

We've sustained 200 patrons through our off season, and I'm ready to set a new ambitious goal for us!

At 400 patrons, we will produce an episode about SCP-1730: "What Happened to Site 13?". This monster of a story is 78 pages long, has 34 roles! It's massive, and I think would be about 2 - 3 hours long. It is my dream to do this episode, and to my knowledge it hasn't had a full audio adaptation yet!!!
