Not my favourite series, but Bill is delightful, and Capaldi is top notch as always. Also, Bill and the Doctor have wonderful chemistry. I do love the university setting, and when he talks to the pictures on the desk. Also the fact that it takes Bill awhile to figure out the Tardis is a nice touch. The episode lags a little in spots, but overall its a good episode.

2020-11-18 05:41:17 +0000 UTCThis is easily Capaldi's best series. For me, this is when Capaldi finally shines as The Doctor. I honestly lost interest in Who during Series 7-9 as I felt the writing lost its quality. There were still some episodes I liked but it just never clicked writing wise. But Series 10 made me fall in love with the series again and it's mainly due to the writing improving and lack of Clara as I felt she overstayed. I couldn't warm to her sadly. It's refreshing to have a new companion. Bill is such a breath of fresh air. I love how adventurous this episode feels with the back and fourth travelling from Australia to the future to a spaceship. In a way, it has similarities to Rose. This feels like a rebirth of the Moffat era but its now more rejuvenated and back to basics. Only small nitpick is that I wish the Bill and Heather relationship was more developed. But I'm excited to see your journey with Series 10. The pilot is definitely like a Midnight and Water of Mars flood hybrid but less scarier. Haha! :D
