What hasn't changed is I don't find the story very imaginative or the ideas conveyed all that original. The obvious clumsy parody of Trump is sloppy and eye rolling, but not as rage inducing as it once was. This one moves from bottom of the pile to quite a few steps above tolerable. Like my opinion has changed on episodes from all eras. I'm looking forward to seeing if that happens again as this one was definitely one of worst.

We do get to see some family life of the companions which has been more of a rarity in the past several series. Just a nice change of pace. The cgi is really good and the set design is pretty good too. The camera work didn't seem to bother me at all. I was able to appreciate this Doctor's personality more this time around. I found myself saying "That's very Doctor" and "That's quite Who."
