ODC - From One Wannabe to Another

I tried to give as much info as I know thus far, without going into too hideous of detail- But just to be clear, I ain't no professional, I'm barely cracking into the serious side of comics! But what my squishy cranium DOES know is that if you feel like drawing comics, then don't hesitate & do it! I've been intimidated by drawing comics because I always had one idea of them as looking hella pro. I didn't feel confident drawing any kinds of comics unless my art was up to par with what I was reading. Simply put, you ain't gonna get better with comics if you don't start practicing! And on an added note, art isn't ALL that in comics! Sure, it plays a role, but nobody's ever said comics have to look a certain way. Comics come in countless forms. It's up to you to find your place in comics and invite readers to join you and your story on the page. But in terms of wanting to understand comics on a deeper level, I highly HIGHLY recommend Scott McCloud's "Making Comics." http://www.amazon.com/Making-Comics-Storytelling-Secrets-Graphic/dp/0060780940/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426654591&sr=8-1&keywords=making+comics+scott+mccloud I'm whack for this guy's books. And in terms of beginning a series professionally, and not being completely disorganized like I am, I'd take a look at this: http://alexwoolfson.tumblr.com/post/49386557221/last-minute-advice-for-a-webcomic-creator-before
