2025-08-01 02:10:44 +0000 UTCThis animation production seems very fast for projects of over 3500 images and frames per episode, meaning 24 fps for so many subjects to animate in any given episode! That explains the inconsistency that comes from lack of communication between the episode teams as basically each episode is being worked on all at once. This is standard for TV animation productions. However, each episode usually takes a year, especially back then, not less than half a year! This means crunch is going on. You’d have to have the biggest animation teams to not have crunch like this, or they really shortened the actual time it takes to produce an episode. Props any time the production process is explained so succinctly.

And if it wasn’t the awkward time between rejecting books on tape too soon for audiobooks, audio dramas and scripted podcasts MAYBE we could’ve gotten those Digimon CD audio dramas dubbed.
