Harry Potter: Reborn as Lockhart

Chapter 33

-General POV-



While Gilderoy is doing that, a certain centaur looks at him from afar. He can see the 'fate' of the young child as 'it' uses mind magic on the creature.


The centaur thinks about confronting the fateless child. 

'No, this is too dangerous.' Ponders the centaur as it turns around to run away. 'The fateless child… he is too dangerous. I must warn everyone.'




....
The centaur escapes and Gilderoy doesn't notice the development of this situation at all. 

He is more interested in his new pet. He jumps on the hippogriff's back and starts flying off. 


'This is quite nice.' Ponders Lockhart with an excited smile on his face. He grabs into the feathers of the hippogriff and guides the bird-like creature downward. His eyes narrow as he uses transfiguration to get the eyes of an eagle. This level of transfiguration is something that not even the average seventh-year student can do, but to Lockhart, this is something that he considers only moderately hard. 


As his eyesight enhances, he can see many creatures on the ground. He sees unicorns, acromantulas, and other mythical creatures. He takes out his wand and looks for the creatures and ingredients that he would need, and so he starts shooting spells at the creatures.

It didn't take long for Alex to find his own ingredients, so after getting them, he left the hippogriff to go back to the forest and wait to be called back when the time is right. 


He goes to the Room of Requirements and uses a dozen silencing and anti-spying charms. He knows that even if Dumbass himself wanted to observe now, the old man would have to break through the wards that he has put up. He knows that magic can't solve every problem, and it's not omnipotent. Dumbledore might be watching the castle, but he too isn't omnipotent, he is getting older every year, so he needs to sleep, eat, bathe, and sh*t.


 The man is human, just like everyone else, so he can't observe someone 24/7... he would even get bored just watching Gilderoy read for hours.

The next day, Amelia Bones goes back to breakfast in the Hogwarts Hall. She doesn't know why she decided to not go back home this year. To her it might be because there is no one waiting for her... she got the news that even more family members of hers died during Halloween. The Dark Lord struck during Halloween, dealing heavy damage to the resistance. 


A couple more of her uncles died now, and so did her parents. She doesn't know what to do with this. Her only family left now is her sister, the woman who she has always looked up to.

'So this is life huh... just waiting till we die... this can't be all there is to it right?' Contemplates Amelia, depressing thoughts running through her head.


That is what she feels someone covers her eyes and says. "Can you guess who it is?"


Amelia frowns at this in annoyance, she isn't in the mood to hear Gilderoy's flowery words. So she pulls his hands off her face and says. "Gilderoy! Stop it!"


Gilderoy is surprised by this and his smile slips off his face. He then sits down next to Amelia and asks her. "What is wrong Amelia?"


"None of your business." Says Amelia, her frown deepening. But suddenly, she feels a hand just enter from the back of her neck and under her robe.



"Aaaa!" Shrieks Amelia as she feels Lockhart's hand go down her spine. It immediately makes her embarrassed as she turns around to look at him. 

But Gil doesn't even let her talk as he grasps her cheeks and touches his forehead with hers. "Amelia... if you wanna talk to someone then you can talk to me. Okay?"


As he says that, Amelia just stares into his ocean blue eyes. Her own blue eyes state into his as tears fall down her face.


Gil is immediately surprised, but he doesn't let her go. Instead, he takes her up and clasps her hand, leading her along as she follows him.


"Where are you taking me?" Questions Amelia curiously, but that is all for naught as Gil doesn't answer her at all.

He takes her to a balcony in one of the towers. 

*whistle* He whistles and Amelia is confused as he hugs her and puts her head on his chest. 


"Shhhh... everything will be okay now Amelia, no need to worry." As Gil says that, he sees the hippogriff come close to him. So his eyes twinkle a little as he picks up Amelia in a princess carry and puts the distraught girl on the hippogriff as he himself climbs on the creature's back. "Let's go!"



Fwosh!!!


Immediately they start flying at incredible speeds, Amelia's fear of such heights overcomes her grief as she holds on for dear life.


"Ahhhh!!!" Screeches Amelia. "This is terrible Gil, put me down this instant."


Gilderoy says nothing about this, he just pats the hippogriff and they fly even higher. Amelia's screams of fear echo out in the sky, for no one to hear as they traverse the skies.


When they arrive above clouds, Gil looks at the clouds and asks. "Beautiful, right?"


Amelia doesn't answer to that at all, so Gil decides to just pat her on the head and say. "See ya~"


Amelia looks back, but her eyes are filled with shock as she sees him jump off. 


'What?!?!?!' Thinks Amelia shocked, her brain can't comprehend what is happening.

Gil on the other hand has a smile on his face as he falls down towards the ground. He wants to play some shock therapy on Amelia, he doesn't need her being all depressed...



...
Amelia has the hippogriff fly down fast and catch up with Gil who has a smile on his face as he falls towards his death. 


"Nice weather today ain't it?" Says Gil with a casual smile on his face.


"Damn it! Stop being so reckless Gil!" Says Amelia as she grabs him by the and pulls him back on the hippogriff.

"I will do that if you tell me what's going on." Says Gil, his smile 'genuine' as he talks to her.

  -Amelia POV-


Damn it... how can I even refuse someone like him. How does he do it? Always being so confident with everything he does. 



....
In the end, I tell him everything as we fly on the back of the hippogriff. I don't know what to do. My sister too is already married now... I don't want to go back home alone to that haunting Bones Mansion which only brings misery and depression.

....
Time flies and holidays pass... I and Gil spend a lot of time together.

  -Gilderoy POV-



I walk down the Slytherin corridors when I hear two shouts behind me. 


""Vrombo.""



Immediately I turn around and eject a shield to slow down the unknown spell as I jump to the side. Still one of the spells lightly touches my arm and...


Plop!!

My arm falls to the ground...
