Harry Potter: Reborn as Lockhart

Chapter 2

When I go inside the leaky Cauldron I see people drinking on the tables. It is morning so there is no great noise, singing or anything like that. Then mother immediately goes into the side with me and the rest of the family following her where there is a brick wall. She taps in a pattern in the wall. The wall then opens to reveal something truly amazing. I could see my sisters and even my father be amazed by the sights. 


Even I am amazed by the sights a little but... I obviously don't let it show on my face to make a fool out of myself. Obviously Occlumency is a big help in emotion control too. My mother truly buys me a lot of books. I also was extra cautious when I ordered the book to order it with a lot of other books to not raise suspicion. 


I even was prepared to tell her about where I heard about memory magic and such a thing. But she didn't seem to notice. I knew that was a big risk but I had to take it. After all... I don't want the sorting hat with the kind of knowledge that I have. It would definitely go and spill the beans to Dumbledore. No matter how in some stories I read it keeps the secrets of the students...

My mother immediately showed me towards the Olivander's Wand Shop.
She then just pats my head and says to me with a soft voice.



"You need to go in there alone while me and the rest go to buy you your school supplies. Getting your wand is a very private moment."



I just look at her…  smile and jokingly tell her.


"So that pretty much translates to 'It will take too long son, so we will be going around having some fun during that time."


My family just smiles. My so called mother's smile widens a little and she says in a cheery voice.


"Well maybe there is some truth to that too."    


Then I just wave them off.


"Ok, ok no need to be all sneaky about it." 



I start to get inside the wand shop while my family goes away.



When I go inside I feel something wash over me. With my limited knowledge of barriers I could only guess that it probably was a p
Polijuice Potion sensing barrier  and age sensing ones. Well they are… nothing to worry about they definitely can't sense my soul's age. After all even if they could my Occlumency would stop or alter the showing results.


I see the desk and shelves filled with wands all around the room. 

Suddenly a man comes up from under the desk...


"Well hello there young man. How may I help you."


If this was another child they would have been scared and surprised... but I just nodded towards him.


"Yes sir... you are...Olivander I assume... I am looking for a wand."


He just smiles.


"And who might you be… young man."


"My name is Gilderoy Lockhart, age 11, soon to be, first year Hogwarts student.
 -I answer calmly.


He nods and goes back to the shelves while trying to find a wand for me.



Then he takes a case out of the shelf and comes back. He opened the case and a wand was presented in front of me.



I take the wand... I know that I can use it even if it isn't compatible with me. I can kind of sense when I get the right one so I will just act as if I have accidents with all of them until the right one.

I take the wand and give it a flick.


*boom*


A shelf breaks apart....





...

 
-(20 minutes later)-


...





He then offered me my 16th wand after all the others had disastrous 'accidents'. I mean the whole shop is a mess. I have already turned over five shelves.


"Phoenix feather with apple wood."



When I grab this one I can also sense that it is not the one for me. So I then just flick it and...


*Break*


The table breaks also. 


"Interesting... very interesting."


He goes to the wreckage of a shelf, he picks up another box and opens it. 



"Dragon Heart string with cherry wood."


 
As soon as I take hold of the wand I can feel it's power though I do feel a little resistance.... THIS IS PERFECT....



Immediately sparks surround me with a gentle wind caressing the surroundings.


"Ah so we found the one for you. But you must remember ... The wand chooses the wizard mister Lockhart."


I just nood at him.




"Cherry with dragon heartstring, 13 inches. Slightly bendy. Requires a user with exceptional self-control and strength of mind, as Cherry wands posses truly lethal power and it's double so with the dragon heart string... which is also concentrated on power. The wand will help you accomplish great things... but the wand can't be tamed without exceptional self-control and strength of mind..."





Oh I know that dragon heart string's wands are good... I also know that dragon heart string's wands are not very loyal and can change allegiance very quickly. 


Then Olivander says in an excited voice.

"I hope that we will be expecting great things from you mister Lockhart.."



 Olivander in an excited face...I then just smile at him... and swipe my wand sideways.


"Reparo."


*Fwoosh* 


Everything starts fixing itself like time moving backwards, while I start walking towards the door... when I arrived there I opened the door and I looked one more time at Olivamder's shocked face. I keep my signature smile on my face while I calmly say to him.



"I hope so too mister Olivander... but I guess whatever happens... happens."



I say to him while going outside.
All according to plan… Olivander might seem like a simple person but as the best wand maker he should have connections to people in high positions. I need to have a good reputation since young… for me to become Minister of Magic.
