2024-03-27 23:30:28 +0000 UTCYou know, I was originally one of the proponents of 10 episode seasons instead of the traditional 22ish episodes per season of the 90s and early 2000s. Then I found myself just not having enough time to care at all about important things. For example, relationships that start and end over the course of 3 episodes of a season that are supposed to carry an emotional impact for the remainder of the show -- just went by too fast. Binging probably has a similar effect. You need time to sit in it.

What you saw was the circuitry for it just under his skin (not tattoos). Remember, technological body mods are a thing in this world. Think of Kenzo and his camera eye.

2022-05-25 05:23:38 +0000 UTCya, though any amount of pacing, like 2 or maybe 3 at most at a time helps stuff simmer bettter and stick. even decades before streaming I noticed the negative effect binging can have on retention as an anime fan when I got a hold of to many eps at once

There are barely any other shows' episodes that have this ramp-up from slow-burn to "WTF-is-happening-rocket-launch-speed" craziness.
