The Expanse 5x03 Reaction

Thomas Jane (J. Miller) was the director for this episode. Filip is a young teenager and about sixteen years old. Cyn and Karal was in the video shot when Fred Johnson showed Naomi her son in episode 5x1. Get plenty of water and boxes of tissues. You’re going need them for the remaining season 5 episodes.

Metro498

The thing that stand out most for me in Naomi and Filip's meeting is how ashamed she seems. Like she has carried the weight of leaving her for her whole life.

Gillian Rosheuvel

There are no chill episodes of The Expanse-lol

Gillian Rosheuvel

Just historical point: the first three episodes dropped all at once and then the rest of Season 5 played out one episode per week. It was a relief to be able to get to the first rock dropping (off the coast of Dakar, Senegal) and then be able to tortuously go through the rest of this fantastic season. Each one required a long period of contemplation and review before the next one came along (every Friday evening!). I will miss that about this show so much!!

DrEEsky

I've never had a show bring so many tears. Even the worst moments of the show are painfully human.

Kevin McDonough

I still cry every time I see these scenes with Drummer. She is so lost, and has suffered more than any character in the series. Can't wait for the girls to watch the the rest of this season.

Deana DeWall

The Belt is not a monolith.

Stephanie Birdsong

The nuclear blast of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were estimated to be around 15-20 kilotons (with a radiation radius of around 1.5 or 2km). The nuclear blast of the asteroid (before it was broken up) was estimated to be between 1 and 4 megatons (which is equal to 1000 to 4000 kilotons).

MaxVSTheGames

Oksana's speech about grief hits differently after the actress's recent episodes in Better Call Saul.

jveezy

It’s just a universal fact, Drummer cries, we cries 🤷🏼🥺

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

The asteroid in this episode hit off the coast of Africa. Based on some things Lola said in this reaction one could kinda see next episode Bobbie talking to her directly at one point!

Kevin Lyda

And the same can be said about those who represents Earth and Mars. However the kill count by “Belters”now far exceeds that of Earth and Mars put together.

Shehan

Exactly. Marco is one man making his own decisions. Yes he has followers but he is not The Belt. And as per usual, science fiction acts as a mirror to our own reality. Pretty much every country has a set of "bad guys" that they use to dehumanise an entire group of people. And yes, bad guys can get a lot of support but they never represent as many people as they lay claim to.

Kevin Lyda

Good ole S5 sinking in. I'll say 5x3 and 5x4 play out in "WTF!?! similar to how 1x3 and 1x4 blew folks socks off when the insanity went up by 100! I see the Drummer and Naomi stuff hit you two pretty hard. I'll say S5 definitely does a good job with hitting hard in the gut with everything that goes down!

Shawn Anomaly

And can't wait for the next one . Ep 4 Is even more bonkers . Shit just hit the fan in 3 and continue to hit it even more in 4. When it rains ...well it will be like Belgrade few weeks ago 😀

Sone

Lola's frustrated tears were tough to watch. GIRL, get some rest because...

Ramsey Snow: “if you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention”

Stuart Weiss

"Erich" is pronounced exactly the same way as "Eric".

Christopher Alexander

The rest of this season (plus season 6, since its technically the end of season5) is going to be insane. Buckle up girls, we're in for a great season

Alexander Shirkov

Also, this episode was directed by Miller!

Dante

Remember this conversation from season 1 episode 4 when Avasarala is watching shooting stars with her grandson on the roof of her house: Grandson: There’s nothing to be scared of you know. They’re just little rocks that burn up in the sky. Avasarala: They’re not always so little G: You mean like the ones that killed the dinosaurs? A: Uh-huh G: Okay, that rock was big. But that hardly ever happens like winning the lottery. A: I worry about people who throw rocks. G: Nobody could throw rocks that big, it just happens sometimes because, you know, gravity. One of my favorite pieces of foreshadowing in the show.

Dante

Heheee I can’t respond cause it would be spoilers, and you’re point would be explored in later episodes. Can’t wait for y’all to continue on and hear your thoughts 🙌👸🏻🔥

Shehan

it's gonna be a cold day in hell when marco represents the belt for me

LM Reactions

I wonder if they still love the belt. Now the belt has killed more people than Earth and Mars put together. Lol 😂😂😂
