Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Episode 38 Full

btw alkahestry does need equivalent exchange, main difference from alchemy is that alkahestry uses the 'chi' or energy that flows through the earth (Mei explained that in ep 36), while alchemy uses tectonic energy

mei's scenes are priceless

Koala Banana

together with the first, the 4th one is also my favorite

btw, i don't know if you noticed but the mansion yoki broke into to steal was the armstrong, you can see two buff persons and the girl with the hair thingy who lifts the piano the girl is olivier and alex's sister if i'm not mistaken i knew you two would love this storyline. it's great to see scar interacting with our kids, but also really painful since i know you two watched ep 39 i can say that i'm exited for opening 4. op 2 and 4 are my favourites. i think both songs will be in my spotify wrapped this year because since my rewatch i've been listening to them A LOT.

The original is good, but keep your expectations low. The alchemy is more "magical" than "scientific". They use alchemy for a lot of deus ex machina in there and sometimes some characters act out of character to move the plot. But it is still above average quality.

So the story of Yoki is shown in detail in the first FMA. It had a whole episode on it. I guess they didn't want to repeat the same story in this show again

@BBT I agree with you that it is not good to assume 2003 as seen. I've only seen the first 13 episodes of the 2003 version and that was after Brotherhood. It's just a lot more drawn out and some characters are just too different for me. Roy is too cold-blooded for me and Scar as a fearful man is also kind of strange. But I'm still very interested in what exactly the alternative plot looks like. I've only seen a few scenes and a few very short summaries on YouTube about it.

New opening song in the next episode is one of my favorites in the series! So excited!

I kind of like Yoki. He is who he is, but he definitely has his moments.

I think that beginning of the story is more important than that. Besides Yoki, in this part is better show the hate that the people have for State Alchemists and the hardships that Ed has to go through in order to build his reputation of "The good State Alchemist", as this is considered the exception. This part also develops more the love/hate relationship between Ed and Roy. Overall I think the beginning of Brotherhood was a bit too rushed and I don't like the idea of assuming that everyone else already watched the first show.

Raziel_BBT

That was a very good episode, but I can't wait for what's to come, the next episodes are an absolute banger, including the best intro and outro of the show!

The thing is, Yoki's story was a whole chapter between Liore and Nina, but was left out in Brotherhood because it was already told in detail in the 2003 version, and because the story really isn't important. After all, we're talking about Yoki here. These few minutes of retelling are enough. In addition, you once heard Roy talking about it and you saw a poster of Yoki at a train station.

that backstory of Yoki was one of the first missions of Ed as a state alchemist. It was on the manga and in the first anime, but they cut it off on the Brotherhood version.
