Chiming in to -- using your words -- correct you because you are wrong: it is in the original source manga; it is canon. Furthermore, I think it suits Reigen's character. I realize you commented ages ago & have even been corrected under a different video -- nevertheless, I couldn't leave bad trivia uncorrected.

That whole half of the episode is just the anime studio wanting to fill up the episode so they didnt have to slow down the pacing of the entire season too much. But it was their bad attempt at comedy, so the manga creator didnt make reigen do that so its not canon.

I anticipate that at some point they will explain why there are people with psychic powers, but I would prefer if most of it continues as a mystery until the end. Either way, I'm sure it's gonna be good
