2023-02-21 22:30:46 +0000 UTCHonestly I don’t think they would enjoy the Berserk anime. Not to mention it was left unfinished. The manga is goated but definitely isn’t something I recommend to them. If there was ever a full and FAITHFUL adaptation I’d recommend it. But the anime adaptations so far have only ever covered the first few arcs.

2023-02-20 17:28:34 +0000 UTC@Robert --- If they want a show with a strong female cast, I'd also suggest She-Ra (2018) on Netflix, but I don't think they're looking for a new show at the moment. If I remember correctly, the second Vinland Saga slot will be used by HxH now. I don't think they have a show ending in the near future (animation wise), right?

It's kind of funny that Bjorn had to be on his deathbed just to hear that he and Askladd were friends, and yet Thorfinn and Einar have been together a mere fraction of the time yet already admit it. Farming life is the way to go ☺

2023-02-20 14:00:39 +0000 UTCI personally disagree about 90's Beserk. Don't get me wrong, I love the Manga. But the 90's anime doesn't hold up IMO (other then the intro). And especially if you don't into to follow up with the Manga the first season can't be a major let down. Blind Wave finished not to long ago and everyone who reacted were all kinda "meh" about. Which is generally how I feel it's gonna go, again especially if you don't intend to follow it up.

2023-02-20 08:20:15 +0000 UTCSimply because it was discussed in the reaction to Vinland Saga 1x18: Let's give them an anime with a strong female cast like Violet Evergarden, A Place Further Than The Universe or Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit. It would be a nice change from the more boys and men filled stories.

The "point" here is requesting shows we want them to react to, and if enough people agree, hopefully they'll indulge us. I've not seen (or read) Berserk, but if people want to make requests, there's no harm done, regardless of whether the anime is a complete adaptation. Well, if the same people request the same shows over and over and over again, to the point of being obnoxious spam, then I suppose THAT'S a problem, but to each their own.

I think my first time watching it I kinda didn’t like it but that was only because I’ve read the manga first and didn’t think the adaptation was adequate. I’ve grown to appreciate it for the classic that it is since then and I think it’s worth experiencing at least once for that.

2023-02-20 00:24:49 +0000 UTCIf you are ever looking for a shorter show to watch, based on what I've seen you guys like, I would recommend cowboy bebop, dororo and 90s berserk (which is a series seen as the godfather of the genre that Vinland saga is, seinen) All of them are less than thirty episodes and I feel like you may like them. I love your guys reactions and reviews, keep it up! (For a ongoing show that is finishing it's second season, watch to your eternity pleeaaaaase you guys would adore ittttt pleasssseeeeee)
