It was actually normal back then for student-athletes to spend all day training and be exempted from classes

I was with Zuff on this one I couldn’t look when her coach grabbed the broom. But I like how the storyline is progressing so far definitely seeing more chemistry between the leads now

Mona ♡

I wish you guys could've seen the club scene with Bok Joo and Joon Hyung that Netflix cut :(

Alyssa Sitman

Oh noo Netflix cut out the club scene :/ I wonder why they cut it out, its a really fun scene and they had no problem keeping in the corporal punishment...

I’m in my 30s and I grew up with physical punishment being normal. People with kids at my age now mostly grew out of this and do not hit their kids. But smacking with a little cane is still not as unusual as you think. I did not even think twice or think any of the dad/coach reaction is anything out of ordinary. You might think theyr forced her and what not but respecting your seniors and parents is a huge part of Asian culture. Doing what they think is right is what they think as respecting and caring about them. So even tho bokjoo cares about her dad, the fact that she did things against his will is a way she doesn’t “care” about him. It doesn’t make sense yeah, esp in western or current culture of reapecting what your kids or every individual. things are shifting towards there for sure but it really is how it is at the moment. Very traditional/stereotypical Asian families are not vocal about their feelings like saying I love you/I am sorry. Speaking mostly with action like bokjoo’s dad giving her a gift and feeding her. Feeding people nice/food is a love language.

Gingy

Omg :( I was really expecting your reaction to the club scene, netflix cut it out

Cinnamon Girl

her dads reaction is vry common actually especially in some asian households

Greg Pittsy

Just love this drama a lot there is lot of cute moment come in the future episodes and cannot wait to see

Yoona

her dad's reaction may seem extreme but i promise my parents would react the same way. asian parents are SCARY when they're pissed off
