Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo Episode 10 Cut/Uncut Reaction!

Comments

Finally, a proper end to Bok Joo's first love. I know it's not normal to see slow romance burn but I think the whole reason the main leads of this show are effective is that they start as friends and choose one another even while knowing each's flaws. I can't wait to see the romance develop more after this episode!!

This drama has so many references to other korean celebrities and small cameos that people new to K-Dramas don’t catch but they always make me smile.

Agreed. Treating family and friends like that feels like you do not trust them with who you really are.

just a fun fact when bokjoo and jaeyi were having the convo and she said she falls in love easy she mentioned kim soohyun - he’s the main character in it’s okay to not be okay, and song joongki - he’s the main character in vincenzo incase you ever watch that !

About Jae-i, I can definitely relate to what Jun-young was saying. I'm someone who is exceedingly polite and considerate towards strangers meanwhile to my friends/family, I'm just me. I don't like getting into conflicts and so I'll avoid any sort of conflict with strangers but with people I'm close to, I have no qualms about getting mad at them. The way I see it is that extra politeness is like a wall. It's distance. The polite you is the you that you pull at gatherings where you don't know a lot of people. When you stop being so polite to someone, it shows a new level of trust. You trust them enough to just be yourself, you can tease them, get mad at them, threaten them playfully without any fear of misunderstanding. It's not about Jae-i being a nice person. It's about him not having any personality other than being nice and perfect. We can't even name a single flaw of his. And this keeps everyone around him at a distance no matter his intentions. So to Jun-young, Jae-i being so polite and considerate towards him feels like Jae-i still treating him like a stranger rather than a close brother. With 3 younger siblings, I definitely get that.

Great episode as usual. Don't know if you guys are taking suggestions yet but pls react to 'Vincenzo' next. It's great for group reactions. Other kdramas to react to are 'Descendants of the Sun', 'Doom at your service', 'Healer', 'Çity Hunter' etc.

The brother actually act for the vilain mostly in other kdramas

also coming back to say that bok joo is starting to show more signs of depression (i.e sleeping all the time, crying all the time, losing her appetite, losing interest in things she loves, not having much regard for herself - like when she almost walked in front of the car). everything seems to be piling on top of her so it's no surprise that she's struggling with that, makes me sad seeing her like this

Tia Lily

this is always such a hard episode to watch because everyone is just going through it with their own personal struggles, especially bok joo 💔 she has been showing signs of depression since previous episodes so it was hard to see her officially broken here. going off topic, zuff had me laughing with his commentary during si ho and the captain's ice skating date 😭

Let’s be honest, if someone I wasn’t close to threw a ball at me and apologized after, I’d tell them it was fine… but if it was a friend or sibling lmao I’m throwing that shit right back 😂

Marsss

Jae-yi being too nice to strangers is okay tbh even though it might be misleading but him being that way to family or friends does feel like he’s drawing a line, like he has no intentions of getting closer to that person, he’s lowkey treating them like strangers that’s what was so upsetting to Joon-hyung.

Marsss

bok joo mentioning song joongki in the cafe is a sign that y'all should watch vincenzo in the future (real💯)

Tia Lily

This was a really sad episode. Next episode is more lighthearted But this show actually really portray depression well. She was heartbroken and her coach who she relied on got fired. She’s been losing interest in things she once was interested, always feeling sleepy. These are all signs of depression.
