2025-05-30 02:23:52 +0000 UTCalso yes, while this is incredibly cringey (as is a large portion of the show) i think i’m not as affected by it because it’s with full intent and it’s exactly how they want it to come across also it’s great comedy writing and they don’t hold back at all… it’s brave and fantastic you just gotta power through it 😂 as opposed to a lot of shows that want to come off as serious or ‘cool’ and end up looking stupid and cringey with lazy generic writing… that’s the worst stuff, THAT i can’t watch 😅

2025-05-23 01:39:15 +0000 UTCThis episode is (purposefully) cringe but I do applaud them for not shying away from it. I think there's a lot of media out there that depicts the "gross" parts of boyhood but barely anything exists that shows how "gross" girls can be too, especially during puberty. Which is why, like this episode shows, girls feel perverted for doing and thinking normal things while it's a very normalized aspect of male puberty (hence Sam and his friends openly watching porn). So it's cool that they went there- but that being said, I'm glad we're finished with this episode! 😅
