2025-05-31 20:47:18 +0000 UTCStefan in fact literally grasped Damon by the neck, as Damon tried to fight (being near death vs Stefan's strength, so he was no match) as Stefan shook him and denied him what he was choosing. Damon made clear he didn't consent, both verbally and physically, unable to get Stefan off him. Please learn about consent ....you can want something and then change your mind. Stefan repeatedly admits to forcing Damon. Just because it's not your preferred take on it, doesnt mean you can rewrite everything that is well established about it. And Damon doesn't put all the bad stuff he's done onto Stefan...he LITERALLY tells Stefan to his face that he owns his own actions and Stefan is not responsible for his actions. At the same time, he still held resentment towards Stefan for his vampire fate and what he became. Because of course he would. And they addressed that directly this season.

2025-05-26 18:17:08 +0000 UTCdamon was literally willingly drinking vampire blood and practicing being a vampire. knowing his 17 year old brother was also being messed with. stefan was compelled by katherine. damon wanted to be a vampire. he just gave up when he thought katherine died. all stefan did was put blood infront of him. he didn’t shove it down damon’s throat. Damon made a choice. they both did. you can’t put all the bad stuff damon’s done on stefan. that’s like blaming Katherine for stefan’s ripper victims. damon then proceeded to ruin stefan’s life for the next 150 years. damon’s whole character is about being selfish. he says it constantly. “ i’m selfish elena! “ so i actually think it would’ve made perfect sense for him to finally make the sacrifice for his little brother. all stefan does the whole show is sacrifice himself for damon. with klaus. with rayna cruiz. letting go of elena. It should’ve been damon’s turn.
