2021-01-06 15:14:57 +0000 UTCI think it's because Tarkin doubted Vader when he said he sensed Obi-Wan's presence (as Tarkin isn't really a believer in all that, and he think's Obi-Wan is dead) and Vader was trying to stress to him that Obi-Wan was really here, as being his former master he has a strong connection to him and thus would be easily able to recognize his presense.

2021-01-06 08:19:05 +0000 UTCOne thing I really like is that when Vader is talking to Tarkin about Obi-Wan, he refers to him as his former master, and Tarkin doesn't bat an eye, as he's always assumed that Vader was Anakin, but that was the confirmation he needed.
