One odd little story that I came across while researching this short is told in this archived piece from Monsters & Critics. It recounts the time when James Cameron (the director of Titanic) met Tsutomu Yamaguchi, and talked about the possibility of making a film based on his life.
Alas, no such film was ever made... but perhaps it should be. Anything that makes more people aware of just how dangerous and damaging nuclear weapons are can only be a good thing!

I, for one, would watch it. The man had an incredible life even outside of surviving two nuclear bomb blasts!
