Pill Pod 12 - The Dialectic of Recognition (Exclusive)

If you've heard of Kojeve, Sartre, Merleau-Ponty, Althusser, Lacan, or Zizek, you have heard some version of the dialectic of recognition. No surprise, it originates with Hegel. We have Borna with us back again to guide us through the Phenomenology of Spirit, and beyond.

I can’t imagine that Althusser attended kojeve’s lectures 1933-1939 since he was born 1918 and would have been 15 when they started and 21 when they ended…. but maybe? But, no doubt influenced by Kojeve, who btw was 1 year younger than Lacan, through his association with Lacan in the 60s?

That Hegel himself didn't think there was an end of history is a really important thing. So yeah, was Deleuze actually making an argument against Kojeve rather than Hegel as such with his critique of the dialectic? At least in that aspect?
