I think I've watched this between 10-15 times, because I'm a bit thick, it's hard and it's interesting af. I agree with Pills that I'm definitely not convinced that psychoanalysis should be abandoned (cause it obviously does work and explains a lot) although D&G are definitely right in saying that the Oedipus complex is limiting because it has this tendency to just boil everything down to mommy and daddy issues. Also I see desire as a lack and production as both being true tbh. I don't agree with the whole schizo thing being revolutionary in our time tho, because first of all modern capitalism rapidly commercialises everything, it's impossible to keep coming up with new creative ideas fast enough to stay ahead of capitalism's ability to capture and channel desire and I don't see how thinking in this way is supposed to convince enough people climb out of the hole that is capitalist realism. Maybe I need to read more tho, IDK
