PRIORITY Q&A
Andrew D.
This question is for both of you. Since a future Smash Bros game most likely won’t have the enormous roster that it currently has, what sort of thing would you like to see in order to make it a true successor that won’t pale in comparison to its predecessor? For example, would you overhaul the battle system, take the series in a new direction somehow, or just plow forward and hope people will like it despite what it will most likely be lacking? I personally can’t even think of anything to make it better if it’s lacking so much content.

Hi ian & kyle! I have a question, what are your thoughts on infinite as a villain & as a character.do you think he had a deeper reason as to why he wanted to destroy the world? & if you were task on giving him a full story arc, what kind of story & personality would you give him?

Patrick Spaziante's work on Archie Sonic was formidable, and he was arguably one of the most iconic artists on the team. What's your favorite piece from him that you've been involved with? Also, is there a chance we'll ever see him on IDW Sonic? I miss the guy almost as much as I miss the Freedom Fighters.

-To Ian: I will say that I really enjoy what you, Evan Stanley and the rest have done on the Sonic IDW Books. Its one of the best Sonic related media out there for the time being, and I really appreciate all the work that the IDW crew is doing. However...I got a bit of a dilemma. As you (Most likely XD) Know, plenty of people would like to see Sally Acorn and the FF come into the IDW Books. I myself would very much like to see a IDW incarnation of Sally Acorn as a supporting character. Basically a new version of the character that is redesigned, and re-imagined to fit into the IDW continuity. But right now, especially with how it kinda seems like SEGA just wants everyone to forget that character, it seems more and more unlikely. So...do you have any advice for the people who want to see her join IDW? On the one hand, it seems like one should just try to forget that character exists, but at the same time, me and plenty still hope for her to appear one day, even if its unlikely.
-To Kyle: Are there any video games that have hit you emotionally? Like...just to make an example, that VERY sad moment during the ending to Insomniac's Spider-man for the PS4/PS5..that moment made me actually brought a few tears to my eyes. (Not gonna say which moment because of spoilers for those who haven't played it) Have you ever had ANY moments like that when playing video games? Being hit emotionally?

-Had a question about Starline! Are you ever going to delve more into what his background was like before trying to join the Eggman Empire? Any family, friends, people they've sworn to "show them, show them all" to?
-For Kyle: What's your favorite crack ship? No judgements, honest curiosity.

Have you ever sat back and watched any of those anti-Flynn videos by any of those popular sonictuber personalities? A lot of the ones who've made videos about you actually made some about me one time, so I was wondering if you've ever seen your own, or have an opinion. If you have, which ones your favorite?

In the Sonic games we rolled around at the speed of sound on just about every possible type of geographical local possible. From deep within the Earth to in orbit around it, from the rural wilderness to bright neon lights of casino resorts. And so on and so forth. So my question is two fold: what kind of Sonic zone aesthetics are your personal favorites? And which type of Zone aesthetic would you like the franchise to revisit?

Big is actually my favorite Sonic character just due to the comedy but also heart he brings to the table. Ian, if you were to write a legitimately serious story focused on Big without betraying the character, how do you think you would go about it?

Remember the Storybook games? If SEGA made another one of those, what classic milestone of human literature would each of you want a blue hedgehog shoehorned into? I'm voting for Sonic: War & Peace.

do you think that a Sonic Musou could work? like a forces prequel spin off during Sonic's 6 month absence, where you play all these characters that didnt get to do much in the original but now they are fighting hordes of robots with unique bombastic moves, maybe the illusory bosses could be fightable this time

Whose decision was it for the amnesia plot point so close to the end of your run?

During the Tangle and Whisper comic, there was quite a bit of backstory revealed about Whisper's past. However, this was just skimmed over that the Diamond Cutters were a valued as a family to the #ShyAwoo. Will there be or has there been any plans to expand the background between her and her old comrades, or perhaps a story as to WHY Mimic progressed into being a villain due to the events of the previous war? Or would the latter be revealed in the forthcoming Villains series?

Ian, if you were to incorporate Sonic’s brothers from SegaSonic Bros into canon, how would you do so? Have you considered their names, personalities, etc?

Salutations, Bumble-Yumble-Kast, I kind of slept on the Mega Man Archie books, and was wonder what you're favorite things to come out of that project are, and how does it compare to working on the Sonic books (if there's even a comparison to be made)? Keep fighting for EVERLASTING peace!
