This 'more realistic faces' -business is becoming a rather bothersome hit or miss afair at this point, if I'm honest :< this page I'm really happy with mostly, especially with how Marvin turned out, but it's consistency I'm missing and that's sort of what drawing sequnetial art is all about >.O

Something else you'll notice is, I'm trying out my idea for the speech bubble stand-ins. I'm not sure how much I like the look yet, but I feel it does work, at least to a degree. Still going to experiment with how they look though. I feel they can be improved upon.

Anyway, as is evident per this page, Marvin and Myra have quite a bit of history between them ... and I wasn't kidding about Myra pestering Marvin either. Not that mustelids are very patient to begin with ... this should be interesting.

Music selection for this page was a wide selection of randomly clicking through my youtube and newgrounds bookmarks (yeah, newgrounds, it still exists. Imagine that XD ).

As I mentioned on previous pages, I've been using more references for the characters again, which has been turning out nice results overall, but as I said, I'm still not 100% satisfied with it.

Mostly I notice my actual working process is beginning to fray around the edges and failing me as a result. I'm not entirely certain if I'm just rushing myself too much, or if I'm just failing to properly focus myself on the task at hand in some other capacity, but I'm having a hard time keeping the values straight (something that is STILL not happening properly and is super frustrating) and then doing the lighting on the characters properly. 

I know some of these issues could be remedied if I just went in to include color, because what results in the same value in greyscale when a marten rushes through leaves are two entirely different sets of values when colored in their respective browns and greens - BUT I would lose the unique look of the comic AND pour more work onto myself  ... pretty pickle my idiot self got iself into XD

The other option is to make the value differences more extreme, something I've been considering doing anyway for experimentation, but I'm a little afraid I'll lose the "realistic" look by doing so.

Maybe I'll assemble some experimentation and you guys can help me figure it out? Just an idea ... ._.
