Finally! A new page! A month after the last one! 8D

-

As you guys know, it's been a lot of up and down these last two months. Now that I've finally gotten my head clear of the majority of worries, I'm expecting to make some progress on my own stuff again, not just commission work.

I've mentioned it before, but the current situation of the world is weighing on me by now too. Usually I would go outside to a café or something to sit down and concept dialogue and page structure, but that isn't really an option right now. Trouble is, I can't do that kind of work while at home or around the mate. I need my solitude for that stuff and given that she can't really go out and do anything either, there's precious little time I can really hunker down and think about the story progression.

Not to worry. I still have dialogue ready until ~page 200 and as I've said multiple times, the rest of the story is mostly planned out, it's connecting the dots specifically that hasn't been done yet. I'm sure I'll figure out a way to get stuff done though as we move along. It's always worked out so far.

I mentioned earlier this week, I forgot to update last thursday, because I had an appointment at a specialist to have a thorough check on my lungs, as they seem to be the organ largely bothering me in my chest.

To give a little bit of context; I've been having pressure issues and pains in my chest on and off for the last three or so years. They've been very mild most of the time, but occasionally they would act up and make me worried, especially when I got my annual cold in the fall months. I'd been to my GP a few times in those three years, discussed it with him, as well as a lung specialist who looked me over for anything suspicious, but neither of them could find anything wrong or diagnose me with anything specific.

Earlier this year the problems became intense enough that I had several instances of feeling like I wasn't gaining enough oxygen from my breathing, despite trying to inhale as deep as possible, along with some heart issues. Given the situation, covid was a suspect both times the issues became that intense, and I was tested accordingly, negative both times.

I didn't want to say anything about the specifics of my ailments at the time, because a) it's kind of personal, and b) I didn't want to cause any undue worries by specifying the problems to a degree that would alarm people, given the current state of the world. Not that I think I'm that important, but at least two friends of friends of mine have died of Covid now and I've seen the extents to which the worry can go and I wanted to spare you guys that.

Anyway, there's at least one case of lung related family issues and they referred me to their lung specialist, who managed to diagnose them properly and get them the right treatment. So once I was cleared as negative, I made an appointment and they had a very, very thorough look through everything they could think of causing me issues relating to the lungs. All the active testing turned out as negative. In fact, my lungs are in top shape for my age group, so the problem definitely isn't there. We're still waiting on a blood screen analysing allergies, but as it stands we don't expect that to show anything either.

So the next stop will be a cardiologist and I'll definitely keep you folks posted of any news, if you want me to continue updating my health status, but for the time being I am just super relieved at least my lungs can be ruled out as the culprit =w=

My choise of music (or background noise) for this page was largely various Gears of War soundtracks, overlayed on tabletop gaming reports of 9th Edition 40k by MWG Studios on youTube. I know that's of little interest to anyone sitting here for my artwork, so I wont bother going into it. I can definitely suggest the GoW OST though for anyone looking for inspirational music for epic scenes ... or just to have something in the background. It's crafted well enough to not be intrusive on your concentration, as a soundtrack should be :3

None that we're aware of or that shold be causing me trouble all throughout the year, but like I said, we're still waiting on the blood screen to come back about that. Last time I had an allergy test done I reacted to Ash, but since I don't notice any kind of significant increase in problems during blooming season in April and May, whatever reaction I do have is super mild. The acid reflux thing was theorized by my GP at one point and he prescribed me something for it to test whether it improved the situation, but it didn't, unfortunately :/ Thanks for the tips though. Much appreciated <3

Also (hit return, got cut off) -indigestion- believe it or not, has the same symptoms. I'm talking the levels of acid reflux and/or ulcers. So if you're subject to a lot of stress, or under a lot of unusual stress, you can get the same symptoms. Happened to me as well. So just some things to consider. Heart attacks are harped on a lot, so thats what doctors focus on. But there are other things it could be as well.

Do you have allergies at all? I do and due to lung damage I received (long story) they developed into asthma. Maybe you should get tested for allergies?
