I wonder how much the robotic vomit styling adds to the cost of PC components or how much the upgraded internal headphone amplifier that isn't used because everyone has USB or wireless headphones adds to the price? Or all the RGB EVERYTHING. Or the flat black PCB material over the generic cheapo green. Or the SUPER ULTRA UPGRADED VRM for all that overclocking that you will be doing on a mini ITX motherboard. All I want is the correct chipset and lots of USB ports. But good luck finding the latest chipset motherboard that isn't ULTRA UBER GAMER BRO spec'd.

Can confirm as any Australian "cunt" is still used as a chill greetimg! I fucking Iove when Dan is revved up and doesn't give a shit about the rules 😅😅😅

I have to use a good PC for my work, so I also use it for gaming, but otherwise I'd probably not play on pc at all

most of those swear words are british and they are an american company

I'm still enjoying PC gaming. Just bought and built myself a new gaming PC, but it doesn't run Windows (although it could of I was desperate). My thinking was that the Steam deck runs Linux, and Valve have spent god knows how much developing the proton layer. So if I installed Linux and then steam onto my new PC, then the same systems that will make games run on the Steam deck will work on my PC... And it worked. Installed Hades, told steam to use the latest version of proton for Windows only games, and it worked. Playing Hades from steam on Linux. No crappy Windows 11 for me thanks. Plus if a game won't work, then steam will need to fix it ASAP for it to work on the Steam deck, and I'll (hopefully) get that update too

Yeah, I totally understand why people would want to go console these days. As someone who's last "AAA" game played was Fallout 4 (gifted to me by my brother), there isn't really any reason for me to drop 18TB hard drive money on one. It's cool that consoles are really great, but it's quickly becoming a place where I don't want to be around what with lack of mods, fewer games, abhorrent SaaS style online functionality. I still play xbox, though (no emulator, sadly 😔)

I bloody love my PS5 because it just works. That and Spider-Man. I don't want to fanny about, I want to relax after work, and nothing makes me angrier than pissing about with computer settings when it just won't do what it should be doing.

You can even mod Skyrim on consoles. They might not be free, but they have Todd Howard's personal stamp of approval.

I only stick with PC because most of what I play are strategy games, and I fucking love building my own machine. Though the first point will likely also be conquered by consoles sooner rather than later, sooo yeah!

Elias Lipka

That's true, I'm a modding addict. Like the idea of not having mods is something I just can't fathom when I have the option of having them.

144 hz is worth it. depends on the user and games u play i guess. very very noticable. Games passes make games cheaper, EA play pro is excellent.

i majorly agree with this video, especially with the fact that you can plug in a keyboad and mouse for most console games, but the problem i have personally with switching is mods. i mod the hell out of most of my games and that is just not something you can readily do on consoles. it makes or breaks certain games for me like, binding of isaac? skyrim? minecraft? these are games that personally i could not play without mods. so idk.

After spending half a year replacing part after part on my PC after The Witcher 3 started having slowdown and crashes, I completely agree with the console statement. As much as I love my PC and tinkering with the settings, sometimes, I just want to play the game. Especially as we've gotten to the point now where certain graphics settings are taking away from others and just getting everything to ultra doesn't necessarily make the game look better. Also, when reviewers say that the latest, top of the line components can't run a game from 3 years ago to 'satisfactory' (read Unrealistic) levels, maybe it's time to revise our expectations a bit

Something tells me this video isnt getting monetized

The spotted cunt line caught me so off guard and I absolutely lost it

I'd love an Xbox series X - Anyone know where I can find one? :)

I completely agree with you regarding the current state of pc gaming, it’s ludicrously expensive and complicated these days to even get something that plays as good as a console, and considering im not a “hardcore gamer” anymore, i’ll just stick to my switch. Not gonna lie i do like the idea of a steamdeck
