Elden Ring Needs a Very Easy Mode - 12/05/21 - The Nerd³ Show

A friend asked me recently why Angela Rayner reminded her of sanitary towels. Apparently 'she stops all the red coming out' was the wrong answer. If you market to your unintended audience, your product should cater for them. Well said :)

The random twitter cunts don't seem to grasp that this wouldn't just mean that hard games can be easy, it could also make easy games hard. With adaptive difficulty you could make animal crossing as hard as dark souls

Ironically, I wish more games had adaptive difficulty because I hate setting a game to hard modes. I can generally beat hard modes in games, but I'm always worried about hitting a single boss with a single mechanic that I can't do and then having to deal with the shame of turning the difficulty down or banging my head against a brick wall for 16 hours until I beat it. Obviously, adaptive difficulty would fix that, as well as being a better playing experience for, literally, everybody- except those who think that beating Dark Souls is, actually, some sort of achievement that means something.

Video games are meant to be fun. If some unempathetic random twitter cunt wants to ruin that, then they can fuck off. The accessability options and difficulty settings are there so that if you want to play on soul crushing difficulty then you can. In the same way, if you want to play on super easy mode beacuse of legitimate medical need (you know, to have a good time) then everyone else can do that. It won't effect the cunt's experience or pride (which, maybe, they should swallow once in a while) and difficulties are labbled as such so that you know which diffuculty your playing in the first place, so that the cunts can brag on twitter about how they beat dark souls blindfolded and with one foot on ultrahard mode (I don't know I've never played dark souls) so that everyone else can bow down and kiss their asses over how brilliant they are. Meanwhile, everyone else can finish game and, again, actually enjoy it which is what the devs are more likely to want us to do in the first place.

Gotta say I appreciate including the links in the description as it makes it easier opening it in the YouTube app on mobile.
