Jul-Aug Prints Update & Delay!

Hello, Matt here!

Just a quick update on the prints purchased in July - they've still yet to be shipped and I'd like to explain why.

The packaged prints were shipped to me from Dan and Rebecca's on the 9th of August, with the plan for them to arrive at mine on the 10th, and then be fully shipped out to you lot on the 11th. That did not go to plan.

First, Royal Mail lost them for about a week (From what I can tell, the package got left in a van and forgotten about). Then when they finally did arrive at my house, I was actually away visiting Dan and Rebecca. I was then unable to get home as early as planned due to rail strikes.

I finally got home on the 23rd, and I started packaging them yesterday to be shipped on Friday. However it turns out Royal Mail are going on strike and I didn't know. So due to said strike, the prints won't be shipped until the 30th (Assuming they actually turn up to collect them).

I'm really annoyed about what has amounted to an almost 3 week delay, and it's mainly the fault of Royal Mail.

I'm sorry we can't get them out sooner, but based on the state of the UK right now, it feels appropriate that they're delayed due to industrial action.

Thanks for doing all that you do Matt! We appreciate you always

I can't imagine the look on your face when you got the delivery notification while at Dan and Rebecca's house!

This sounds like something that would happen in the City of Dave or in a Sims video lol

It's fine, I trust I'll get them eventually, no need to stress about it... Thank you all and Matt especially for being amazing with everything.

Can't imagine the stress you lot were going through. No worries at all, take all the time you need. :)

Best laid plans and all that jazz. And incase anyone needs a reminder, industrial action is not a failing of the workers, it's a failure of management. Workers deserve to be able to do their jobs safely and for a liveable wage, strikes are usually a last resort when management refuse to give adequate pay rises to workers, while making record profits.

No worries πŸ‘. I am just excited to receive them

Georgina Ivey

Delayed due to strike action is better then lost outright.
