Honestly I just want Alfie to be happy. I feel like she’s just been trying to find herself and while some reactions are for sure warranted, there isn’t enough understanding for her just trying to do her best even if she’s been tripping and fucking up along the way. She wasn’t raised in a place or environment where the things she wants are ok and communication wasn’t encouraged. I would really hate for us to see her struggle just to become angry and hurt like her mother and I’m not sure how I would feel about the story over all if there was all that build up just for her to end up miserable.

I agree with Julio I really want to see what happens with Vera's and Cillian. That sould turn ito an great story with Cillian with his backstory with Nadia and the snake people. I would love to see Vera and Cillian go the Cillian birth place and see if he can come to terms with Nadia. I think it would be great if Vera help Cillian resolve his past maybe even have both Vera and Cillian have an interesting 3 way love triangle relationship with Nadia.

Honestly, i like Vera's story arc and character progression. And i feel like Alfie may be easier to wrap up than you think. The whole point of her character arc is freedom of choice and consequences, self accountability. Have her reconcile with her mom and with her friends, and then she can Pfaff off with her friends into the sunset. Vera dealing with that and coming to terms with settling down with mountain man, with letters coming from Alfie travelling (thinking a montage summarizing many years of this) would be a great way to end. That way you could slip in a few short panels of random smutty encounters Alfie's having (of course, only casually alluded to by her to her mom in her letters, but visualized fully), bing bang boom you've got you're story tied up in a nice neat bow! I'm a huge fan of your work, been following you for many years. Off and on as a patron bc poor, but I've always followed. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Hi! I just finally became a patron and wanted to say how much Alfie means to me. You've done an amazing job of blending wholesomeness and smut in a way that is so engaging and real. When I started reading Alfie years ago I never expected it to mean so much to me. Bringing it to an end can be really difficult, and I think, despite what is likely the most popular opinion, it is ok to leave some things unresolved. Sometimes life doesn't give you closure, and that's just the way it is. I'd rather you bring attention to the things you think will give Alfie the best end, rather than force retrospection and closure on every element of the story. That being said, I was wondering if you have any plans to ever print Alfie. I would love to add the story to my bookshelf someday. Thank you!

I think however those resolve the comic will be satisfactory. Then sprinkle in all the best characters fucking: Lydia and Ailduin and Melly and Ozge (together?! No that’s awful).

As gratuur said, you being burned out is not what we want. :) Honestly, I think one of the wonderful aspects of such crowdfunding models like patreon, is that the art can matter more then some deadlines or some marketing dates. I logged onto Patreon for the first time in months precisely because I was worried about Alfie and then I saw this post, haha. In terms of Alfie's story: the three things I want most for her is to apologize to her friends, own up to her mistakes, and get back together with Ozge. I thought you were going in a direction of having Vera show up and explain herself (Alfie doesn't know her father is gay, iirk, and thought her mother's bitterness was about being trapped by love) and be obviously better, which makes Alfie re-evaluate her priorities. I personally think the best way to end the overall story is with Alfie writing a letter to her father and having it overlaid onto screenshots of happiness (Vera and Cillian, Alfie & her friends, Derrick & his dude, etc.) but I'd be happy with a different direction too. :) In general, though, don't stress - this has been a beautiful story and an awesome world to roll around in, and it's cheered me up on many levels many times. You deserve all the rest in the world. (And just as a side note: I hope you do more large-scale projects in the future, unrelated to Alfie - I'm sure they'd be great!)

What will they teach each other, and us, about friends/family, history/forgiveness, love, poly, and why Havlin all have perfect eyebrows at all times? Also, very much here for Lydia/Marco. I really like the comic, the balance of story/porn is A+ I enjoyed alfie learning to be more comfortable with who she thinks she is, like the initial journey, when she was with marco and lydia. I do not so much enjoy her never ending anxiety and self doubt, like while she is with Ozge. Although that doesn't mean it's bad character writing, it's just tiring to read after a while. Her character growth seems to be a taking a loooooong time.

She has a few conflicts ahead of her like Ailduin, but I hope you keep it simple and let her enjoy her new life. Alfie is a mess, and I wish you hadn't taken her there, but hey... life is messy... Not a fan of Ozge, but binding them as lovers and sending them exploring the world would be a fitting end. I think she rather enjoyed the carefree sexcapades though, so she may not be cut out for monogamy. Regardless, thanks for the awesome ride.

I have really and truly liked all the story lines, so it'd be very hard for me to say that I am somehow not invested in any of the main characters. As far as Alfie's relationships, I guess I mostly just want to see her get to a place where she can be happy and confident with herself; I love the characters that she has met, but they can also all just be people that helped her to find her own way too. All I can say really, is that as far as I'm concerned, you should take as much time as you need. I at least - and I'd guess most of us - would much rather wait for an ending that you really believe was the best ending for the series, than to get something sooner, but lesser for it. In conclusion, your story and art are incredible and we're all better for you having shared it with us. Thank you.

No problem with waiting. The Comic is incredibly good and I agree with the comment of not ending it like they did for GOT. With that said, my favorite plot line is Vera's because of personal reasons. Now with Alfie, I really don't know which way you'd like to go. She doesn't seem like the kind of person that owns up to her "fuck ups" which is how I would end the story for that "feel good" kinda ending. It has been such a great ride, as a big fan I just ask to please not break my heart with this.

First, I really want to see Alfie doing things for herself, acting on her own desires. Even after Pickering, she has needed Alfie Squad to act confidently or be bold on their behalf. I want to see her do what she wants without approval or a cheerleader. Where is new Alfie, the “rotten” woman, the bad girl in the window? Second, the unresolved Ailduin thread. Alfie took the job, but they didn't actually talk. Isn't she still curious about her mother? What does he want from her? What about Chekhov's strap-on? Third, Alfie reuniting with Alfie Squad. The Alfie Squad has been her support throughout her journey, especially Marco and Lydia. How is she going to make things right with them? Fourth, Marco and Lydia's relationship status. What do they consider it? They are clearly more than just bros at this point. Also, curious what work are they doing for Ailduin now that they are out of the Redwood. Fifth, how is Ozge doing? She is friends with Marco and Lydia, and is learning more human stuff. Does she get along with other folks? Is she happy to finally visit the human world? Did the crash-and-burn with Alfie sour things?

I personally enjoyed Lydia and Marco’s side story so would be happy to see a spin off with that but as far as the main characters really look forward to true reconciliation between Alfie and Vera. I loudly applaud your decision to spend the extra time and effort to wrap up the story properly, despite feeling worn out with it. I admire your dedication. I also have no problem with slower output if that helps. Thank you. For Alfie, the things that I want most to see are, in this order of importance: 1-Make up with Vera. 2-Fix her relationship with Marco and Lydia - maybe not become their lover again, but at least end the hate and fear and have some kind of friendship. 3-Have the spine to admit in public what she is and to withstand the ire of the biddy brigade. She doesn't have to have a happy ending but I want very much to see her finally really able to stand on her own feet, even if she winds up alone. The idea from the livestream of having Alfie bang some random beastman - why further complicate the worldbuilding this late in the story? Unless a new sentient species does something significant to the story and the other characters, it would just be window dressing. I suggest, if you want Alfie to have sex with some guy in a way that is meaningful, have her get drunk and do it with Eamas. Let it turn out that he has a thing about Vera, so he's hoping Alfie is a good substitute. Let his stoic mask slip - might be interesting to see him a little looser. And she would learn something about herself and her mother from listening to him talk about Vera and compare them. I would not like to see Alfie beat down any more. I think she's hit rock bottom already. And in her confrontation with Hana she was starting to fight her way back up. Storywise, I think hitting her harder would be extraneous. And personally, I'm starting to feel sorry for her.

I don't mind an end to the comic in this form, I've been following it for a long time, but it would be wonderful if you would come back to it years later. My girlfriend though, I just got her into it recently and she's sad to learn it's coming to an end soon :) I'm most interested in Alfie and Ozge, then Alfie and Vera (gf agrees too). I would also like to see some closure to Alfie and Lydia, and Marco and Lydia, but those don't have to be fully fleshed out. Everything else is just nice to have :)

Have you considered putting the "Alfie" comic on a slower cadence? It might make it easier to balance with other ideas, they might even cross pollinate and help cultivate the progress you are struggling with. Quality is always worth waiting for, so no worries about the delay. As to your question, well-- that's tough. I would like to see Alfie make things right with her "crew," of course. Do a bit of growing. I'd like to see how Lydia and Marco's relationship develops, but it looks like they have their understanding. I am very interested in what Ozge will do; after all, Alfie was the one who arranged with Ailduin do retain her as a bodyguard so she could travel and see something of the world. With the state of her relationship with Alfie, it seems like this opportunity is in danger. Alfie was even going to teach her how to read! I'd like to know how this can be resolved. Minor curiosities have to do with, What happens to the caravan when they reach their ultimate destination? Ailduin has hired Marco and Lydia (and Alfie) to his own private staff-- What will they all end up doing? And of course, I'm hoping Hana and Grasha have a traditionally ordinary, loving relationship.

It's all good, my guy. Take your time, take your breaks. We'll all appreciate the outcome far more that way, anyway. As for plot things - I think it would interesting to at some point, in true hero's journey fashion, return to Pickering, so she and her friends can teach the Havlin a lesson or two in acceptance and love. Also, I would like to see Alfie reunited with Melly. The core journeys of Alfie and Vera should be the template all the other side-stories can slot into, I think, and they were in large part defined by Pickering and its culture. I expect them to reconcile once Alfie understands that Pickering got to Vera as well. It'll do Alfie good to realise she has more in common with her mother than she realises.

Like some said above, I am interested in seeing a natural maturation of the relationships you have shown until now; in other words, characters reaching an understanding regarding their own feelings, desires, and sexuality. And it would be great if you feel good writing it, and if you need long breaks for that, then you take them. Regarding the storylines, I love them all, but yearn for a resolution of Alfie/Ozgee. They were so sweet together and it sucks to see them split up because of Alfies fears and insecurities. Also looking forward to Alfie and Vera reuniting as the different people they are now

I personally think that, while the resolution with her friends is important, from the very start when Alfie left her home I've just wanted her and her mother to get to talk things out and learn that they're very alike in not conforming to the norms of society and that that's okay. I just could really use that parental closure of Alfie learning that she doesn't have to conform in order to find happiness and that her mother will love her no matter what path she takes.

I know Lydia and Marco get a lot of interest, but I feel like their story line is almost done? They came to an understanding about each others' feelings at the Red Fort. A simple conclusion might be nice (I dunno, a grown up conversation between those two if they can manage it??) But cut the suspense. Thotfie needs to figure her shit out! Definitely avoid the GoT ending! I'm most interested in seeing how Marco/Lydia ends up. I know they're only side characters, but I love their dynamic. Also I want to see more of the big world plot with Ailduin. There seemed to be hints that he's more of a mover and shaker than first appeared, and I want to see that resolve. So there's my votes!

I may be in the minority, but I think I like the openness of the Marco/Lydia/Alice relationship more than Alfie and Ozge. I appreciate their tenderness, but I think it would be more interesting for Vera and Cillian to be happy monogamously and Alfie to embrace her sexual openness with Marco and Lydia, showing different people can be happy in both monogamy and polygamy. To me Alfie was happy with Marco and Lydia.

Take your time. No one will remember how fast or slow this comic was finished, but rather by a good story, characters, sex and beautiful art. And i can say this comic will live on through out the history. To me, both timelines are important, Alfie's and her mother's. I did't likes Ozge that much, i must say, but that's just me liking titties and good legs :) I'm sure you will make a good and meaningfull ending to this epic story. Keep up the good work, and take your time.

I have not read every other comment thread, so I am ignorant--do you plan on publishing a paper volume when it is done? I would definitely be interested in having a real book version of Alfie. All of them, bwahahahaha! But if I had to choose, I feel that her interaction with Ozge is the one I'm most interested in. Ozge's the one that she made an explicit commitment to, and which we barely saw come into anything before it was taken away. I feel *that* deserves a proper conclusion more than the other ones.

Echoing what a lot of others have said I would like it if Alfie was able to be true to her self and start a relationship/s that she is honest and happy in. I would also like to see her patch up things with her mom and the other characters to see how their views of love have changed a bit.

I feel like the confrontation with Hana and how Alfie handles it is most important to me. Hana represents the repression of sexuality and freedom that has existed in Alfie's life all along. Alfie continually chooses subservience and compliance to avoid conflict. That is the root of all her difficulties. Even Ozge pointed it out as "Weakness not malice." If Alfie can face that and find her voice, then her relationships will naturally mend. I also hope that Hana can grow past that repression as well. But seriously I just want to see what happens when Vera and Alduin and Aflie are all in the same panel. That's the juiciness I can't wait to see. Hopefully that's after Alfie grows a spine.

Vera and Cillian seems all wrapped up now which is nice. I'd love to see Alfie figure out she is being a butt and make amends with all her friends and fix things with Ozge! And a bit of a random thing it would be awesome if Alduin maybe got a few panels in too. Would be awesome if he found a romantic interest who enjoys bossing him around.

I love both sides of the story, and I am seeing that we'll jump back to Alfie to try and see what happens with the others there, but I really enjoyed Cillian's extra story bits with Vera and his home town. Tough question re: most important story elements—as you point out, it’s a very tangled mess for poor Alfie. Her relationship with Ozge is the thing I love seeing the most (gods, I hope they can be happy) so that’s the most I can vote on. Obviously her mending things with Marco and Lydia is important, but I’d count it as secondary to Ozge.
