Find Flegg clues. (0/3) It’s been a real journey between seasons this time, but with the Perpetua Prelude wrapped up and our new world built (with plenty of blank spaces, ofc) last week we kicked things off in earnest with a double episode drop.

First up we have a classic Friends at the Table character introduction episode where the entire cast goes through our Fabula Ultima characters. Consider it an amuse-bouche to whet your appetite.

The main course is Perpetua 01: The Shadow of the Dragon Tower Pt. 1 and listen. Listen. If you’re not normally a show notes reader, this season might convert you–especially if you ever printed out and stapled together a GameFAQs guide written by someone with a name like Vivis_hat_83.

Dr. Kawashima & the Wii Fit man. There’s also a brand new episode of Side Story, the podcast where Austin and a few rotating handful of cast members talk games both new and old, and share some of the incidental stories that make them special. The latest episode includes Ali and myself (Janine) getting into the weeds (hehe) about farming games. More specifically we talk all things Fields of Mistria, from romance to the 24/7 seed sale economy. Other topics include Skin Deep, Fantasy Life i and LUNAR Remastered Collection.

Bonus! Character development. When Ali shared this character design inspo sheet for her Perpetua PC in Discord I immediately knew it was bonus-bound. She’s careful to note that “it's not a fanart guide as much as a thing I fiddled with to calm my own brain down,” so don’t read too deeply into any one part of it. Nevertheless it’s a fun peek behind the scenes of character creation from someone who consistently makes some of the best characters on the show.
