Monsters in fantasy
Added 2018-11-28 13:08:08 +0000 UTCDue to many requests, I take a look at the anime Goblin Slayer and how it depicts the monsters within its world and why you want your monsters monstrous, or in other words vile and dangerous, within a good fantasy setting, with some references to the Wheel of Time series.

2018-12-11 22:48:10 +0000 UTCOff Topic but: When Battlemages exist and are somewhat common, every Army would have a few battalions of them. Meaning people who can learn basic spells like fireballs are EVERYWHERE and learning those is EASY AND FAST. And if this is so, why isn't every Blacksmith in the realm heating the iron with magic instead of coal? And if they do, why do coal mines still exist? Why is there a coal mine right next to Lord Baldwyns Castle? What is he dooing with that coal?
