2020-07-02 02:15:48 +0000 UTCI love the return of Jaskier in this ep. He’s much needed comic relief for Geralt the Sourpuss. Yennifer thought her life as a mage would be more exciting and fulfilling but she’s not happy, she’s bitter and lonely and craves real power and importance in the world. She tried really hard to save that baby though. I liked the things she said before she buried the baby. Yes, this show does look like it cost a lot of money to make, with all the different locations and sets, and the special effects and costumes. I really appreciate it when shows film in different locations. Unless they are done really well, and are more character based (like Downton Abbey or Gilmore Girls for example), it feels kind of stifled to me when shows are mostly filmed in the same location, like a school or a house or a small town where the characters hardly ever leave those places.
