I wish Debbie was smarter than this, but I understand being a teenager and wanting to impress a guy so that he likes you. Especially having a friend like Holly who is “popular” and not the best influence. The responsibility is on the older boy though. Debbie is still a young kid and may not be sheltered but doesn’t have any role models other than Fiona. I love Fiona, but Debbie has grown up seeing her date guys like Jimmy/Steve who lie and steal cars and Fiona still stayed with him. That influences Debbie and that combined with two messed up parents who are never around, friends like Holly, and older brothers who have unhealthy dysfunctional relationships it’s no wonder she’s acting the way she is.

What kind of guy his age hangs out in an arcade and is interested in even just being friends with a 13 year old girl (how can he even think she’s much older than that?), and offers a young girl he just met a ride alone in his car (and Debbie is very stupid for taking it)? Either a very stupid, immature one, or a pervert pedophile.

2020-07-14 18:14:46 +0000 UTCI think what Lip meant when he said he wasn't getting paid was that he is doing work study. So, not cash but part of his tuition paid for I think. I love that Lip is in college but it is definitely ganna be an adjustment for him. He's used to not trying at all in high school and still getting great grades and now he actually has to apply himself to do well and he's not used to it. And Debby is definitely a teenager now and has a real attitude lol.
