But I believe this was around the same time Jeffery Dean Morgan was cast for Negan and couldn't do both. So they kinda rebranded the role. I don't think Negan was even on-screen yet when he did the one episode.

I agree with another commenter that said that the super long train ride was just showing the different people as he got closer to home. Thats the way that I had interpreted it. You see that at first there is business class people and then the closer he got to home, it was the poorer type people from his neighborhood. I love this season and can’t wait to see your reaction to it!
2020-10-15 13:24:41 +0000 UTCi got the notification just after i woke up lol, its so frustrating that mickey is finally in a seemingly good place and ian is spiralling downwards :( i think the point of that long train scene with lip is to show as he gets closer to home the people on the train change, like when he is closer to the college its loads of stereotypical middle class people with suitcases and shit and then when hes closer to home its a stereotype of poorer people/ the people lip is used to at home. idk thafs just my guess. i love fiona gwtting a break, shes deserves to be happy. sammi is so annoying istg. anyways i really enjoyed this reaction, i hope you’re well espically during all this crazy shit happening over the world.
