And Klaus did have a plan. Him compelling people to get near Marcel is a work in progress. No one else can do that with Marcel since Marcel looks up to Klaus no matter what happens

2022-02-09 06:53:50 +0000 UTCI think you missed the fact that Klaus started caring for the baby in the first episode. He was throwing his tantrums just because he couldn't handle being a father, but he agreed to make a deal to save the baby, by whatever way.

The loneliness, feeling like an outcast, wanting someone to love you for who you are, etc. I don't like or agree with a majority of the things he does, but I can understand why he does some of them. I'm sure there are more reasons buried inside but these are the only things I can think of off the top of my head. I can definitely understand how and why someone would despise him. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the show!

It's a cat and mouse game of very terrrible people with a lot of power, but they all have a back story and have very human motivations. And the acting outclasses everything on vampire diaries
