Sadly I don't know how to convert clipping masks for GIMP, but if you need to display it in a FOSS image editor, I uploaded a cheat sheet to get clipping mask-like behavior in Krita (see comment below).

This clips a layer to the group's alpha, which consists of the sum of alpha channels of the other layers included in that group. You can use this directly in many groups, except where multiple clipping masks are used. In this case you need to create sub-groups for each clipping mask. I named them “clipping mask group” in the screenshot. The most difficult part is figuring out which layers were used as masks. One good hint is that in Photoshop, layers can only use layers below them as clipping masks. So you can search for layers that have a clean silhouette of the part (eyes, hair, body), and it’s very likely that this is the mask to be used. Then just check which layers above it need clipping, group them like in my example and enable alpha inheritance for them.
