Declined Payments
Added 2018-08-02 17:09:16 +0000 UTCI'm sure some of you have already seen other people making posts about this, so I apologise if you're already aware of the situation. If not, read on!
So apparently Patreon have moved some of the operations to the UK, or at least some of the payment stuff, I guess probably so it's easier to process payments from people in this part of the world. Anyway, whatever they decided to do, they did it without letting anyone know (I guess it was supposed to smoothly and without a hitch) and it basically caused a lot of payments to be flagged incorrectly as fraudulent.
I've no idea what Patreon are doing about it, other than being their usual tight-lipped selves, at least until the pressure on them gets to be too much. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, but in the mean time you might wanna check your payments and see if any of them have been declided. Not sure if you can prompt it to try again, but it's just something to be aware of. It hasn't impacted me too badly, thankfully, but I've seen some Patreon accounts drop a huge chunk of the income because of it.
