Happy New Year!!!

What can be said about 2020 that hasnt been said before?

Because lets be honest, we all have the same thing to say about it, so instead ill talk about my personal reflection of the year.

First of all, i cant even begin to describe how incredibly grateful im to you guys, who have been supporting me for so long, even when this year hit us all hard in every direction, are still willing to pitch in to allow me to keep working in what i love, so in order to repay you for such kindness ive been trying to give everything it have and more on each piece ive drawn through 2020, always working to be better on each project all to grow as an artist and give the best possible drawings for you to enjoy.

On a personal level 2020 has also took its toll on me, last time ive saw my friends face to face was back in January, we went for ramen that last time, stopped going to the gym back in February for precautions, luckly ive been keeping a routine at home but it aint the same. Spent my birthday alone for the first time in years back in March, 2 of my family members got Covid19, one got it twice, but comes with the job of being a doctor, we had several scares in my family tho, even a couple last week, luckly nothing happened, but some of those were my parents and if my dad gets it, its over for him since his respiratory system is a mess, so yeah that stress made me lose some hair and get some grey ones. Sadly my front neighboors didnt make it, they were a sweet old couple who i got along with, always greeted me when i got out, and they sadly passed away this month, one week apart from each other, ill miss them.

I had a plan on going back to Japan for vacations at the end of the year but early one i saw that was just not going to be possible, so with any luck 2022 will be the year i go back there again. And theres no surprise in saying but these last 2 months were EXTREMELY stressful for a couple of weeks, things kept piling up.

On the good side tho, i finally upgraded my work tools, going from a cheap 11 yeat old Bamboo tablet to a proper drawing tablet opened a whole new world for me in how i work, setting it was a headache tho. Dint buy figures this year, instead i got a lot of manga, im a huge reader of them, so ive been trying to collect a lot of them, ones that are coming soon are the first 4 volumes of Blue Period, HIGHLY recommend it, the first 5 volumes of Plus Size Elf, because im all about that thickness, next will be the volumes 6-10 of Chainsaw man and the first 4 volumes of Futari Solo Camp. Small things like these kept me afloat this year, learned the value of giving myself little pleasures like these from time to time. Played a lot of my favorite games, DQ 11 is fantastic, FFVIIR was incredible, as a long time fan i had a smile on my face the whole time, played Animal Crossing for the first time ever and loved it, Hazel might be my favorite villager, i love her. Went back hard on Monster Hunter World, all the new monsters and events were amazing and finally was able to create my dream Hunter, cant wait for Rise. And im enjoying Cyberpunk 2077 despite all its faults, got the Akira bike so im really happy.

So yeah instead of being cheesy and being all inspirational and stuff, i just wanted to give a little reflection of my year, might be superficial, but i dont wanna dress it up, i wanna be honest, so you guys get to know me a little better. 

All i can say is i hope the change to 2021 is for the better, for many just seeing that number can have a positive effect. If im grateful for anything is that my family is still safe and sound, i consider myself extremely lucky in this situation and i offer my condolences to everyone who lost a loved one this year due to the global situation.

Im also grateful to all of you, your support actually kept me alive, on a year i feared i would lose a lot, thank you a million times for that, ill keep working hard next year in order to repay you all for it.
