To play off the idea, it could be like some human gets infected by some kind of affliction that's slowly changing them into a feral skunk over the course of a month and maybe an example of an image would be them on Day 19 trying to use the copier and their "disguise" is failing as their tail pops out as their pants slides down, people are commenting about their new height, there's a genuine expression of worry, stuff like that!
