New Goal Reached! and voting.

Woo! We're at the $200 mark. This means that Samurai Twilight will now update twice a month instead of just monthly. It also means that there will be a new livestream in addition to the weekly 'just working' stream.

This livestream will include time for tutorials/demonstration on art and art learning which will then be posted to youtube for all to learn from.

I am going to try setting up a regular weekly schedule for livestreams. In the past it has been difficult to setup a regular time due to real life responsibilities, however, in the coming days I will post a schedule and link so that the livestreams can be easily accessed.

It is also time to vote!

What is voting and how voting works: I list options, people leave a comment voting for their favorite options or with a 'write in vote'. Write in votes will carry to the next poll, though OCs and ultra specific scenarios will be ignored. Voting is "open" for a few days, so don't hesitate to vote in late. Higher tier patrons votes count for more, though lower levels won't be ignored either.

The theme of this poll: landscapes. Y'all get to choose the direction my art goes and the neat things that are made. I'm still going to do studies and quick pieces, but these are for longer term and more finished works. Your options are:

1. Elemental based landscapes: Wind Fire, Ice, Earth, Nature, Light, Dark. Your classic 'elemental' trope, possibly to similar to Magic The Gathering's land cards.

2. Seasonal based landscapes: summer/spring/fall/winter. A calendar of interesting moments and places.

3. Nationality based landscapes: Japan, US, France, Mongolia, China, Mexico. Landscapes that tell a story and are very much from that place in the world.

4. Ruins: ruined churches, ruined post apocalyptic, ruined sci fi/fantasy settings, just plain ruins.

5. Mix and match: two or more of the above.

Feel free to suggest a pony/ponies to go in the landscapes as well.

Comments

A bit late to this thread, but I'd have to vote for option 3. some nationality based pics would be epic! :)

I like the idea of combining seasonal and nationality-based landscapes, though I agree ponies in real-world settings could feel strange. They might provide some interesting inspiration, though-- Japanese cherry blossoms for spring? An Egyptian desert for Summer? Etc.

Luster

I like the seasonal idea best. Especially with ponies it feels the most fitting. Also seasonal pieces tend to evoke the widest range of emotions in my opinion.

Silver Linings

Hmm, I'd go for seasonal landscapes, and maybe combined with nationality based locations. Seems weird to mix ponies with real locations though, so I'm not sure on that. Maybe just ponies in fictional seasonal settings.
